EU Players: JP>NA?
Hello Community,
when starting the game I recently found out, that my connection to all NA/EU Servers is GOOD, while my connection to JP Servers is EXCELLENT.
I've asked someone in my FC about this and he checked and realized that he had the same stats.
Are there more EU Players out there having a better connection to JP?

Haven't tried a JP server if I'm honest and latency isn't really and issue for me on Behemoth (I'm from the UK). People from NA tend to complain more about latency issues with Titan HM for instance.

Checked JP servers. Definitely not better.

I play on a Japanese server and get worse lag than I do on Odin (EU). Unfortunately.

If na/eu server is worse than jp server then you probably have a routing issue.
I checked trace route.
From Germany to na/eu server it's about 120 ms
From Germany to jp server it's about 260 ms
Trying a vpn might help

It's the same for me. I have "EXCELLENT" connection to the JP Data Center.

I'm from the UK but my connection my US server is always rated excellent, I'm guessing the rating comes from something simple like ping and doesn't really mean much.

Excellent or good only reflects ur connection quality from ur end not through the route it takes to the server. i'm playing from sea and always have excellent towards na/eu but only good towards japan (weird ikr) and trust me that excellent scam doesn't help u get a MUCH BETTER aoe avoidance compared to good (i've tried playin on both tonberry with good and leviathan with excellent)

I don't think that is a good indicator
I had a bad ISP before (a few weeks ago), whenever I am in the lobby, it saids EXCELLENT, but when i log in, I get 90k very quickly
Now I switched to a much better ISP, I never had 90k once

UK to NA, 93-100ms, "Excellent".
Ingame I have little to no lag issues, and when I do a relog usually fixes them, if it doesn't then I go and bitch at BT a little.

Sorry about those with latency problems, but have your tried going wired to your modem/router? I know it seems small but this has fixed the problem for some of my friends. There's a lot of crappy wifi chipsets used in laptops.
