I just feel like there's going to be a new area in 2.1

On the live letter X test there's this one BGM that sticks out from all the rest:

Either it's a replacement BGM for some area, or there's going to be a zone in the open world somewhere. It doesn't sound very "Housing" like, They already revealed the Beastman Tribe BGM in the 10 min trailer.

I am very curious as to where this BGM falls into 2.1, it sounds Open world I can tell ya that.

There are plenty of zones not yet opened up (I made a list somewhere), given the Beastmen Quests I'd take a guess at the gates in Zahar'ak opening up. Sylphlands is already fairly large on its own, though I never really explored it to check for any blocked off entrances, but Zahar'ak should have path leading to that fancy old tower (the area before that gate is currently blocked off (where their NM used to spawn in 1.0 iirc), but in beta you could jump over the gate and look around and there were two gates, one leading underground (probably Ifrit) and another leading directly to that tower) and their territory is pathetic compared to all the other Beastmen. Would much rather see what the Ixal have done with Eastern Coerthas Highlands, though.

I figured Beastman Territories will expand in conjunction with Beastman Quests. That BGM in particular seems more... lively to be a Beast Tribe theme.

Oh, obvious answer: Dragon Quest X promotion FATE music? No idea if it fits Dragon Quest though, but I know the Lightning FATEs had various pieces of music from XIII, and the Shantotto FATE trailer had music from the addon iirc.

Never played Dragon Quest, so I don't know :P. Even for a FATE, FATEs have some sort of battle theme to them. Boss NM FATE Theme, Lightning FATE ( blinded by light) theme.

That theme has an Open World feel to it ( unless that area is dedicated to Dragon Quest, which I doubt because it's limited like the Lightning Collaboration.) Ugh :P.

Could be a possibility! ( Depends if it's a zone all on it's own, or if it's attached to Mor Dhona but now accessible.)

idk why but I kinda thought this was a sarcastic response... was pretty depressed to find out these things are actually planned.

Part of Mor Dhona (go to Rathefrost and look across, you should be able to make out the portal from the opening of the 2.1 trailer), though I guess that doesn't prevent it from having its own theme.

Already a zone we can go to, there is a boat that takes you there at Moraby Drydocks.

I don't know. I hope it is like the original entrance to Sky in XI, where you go to the Hall of the Gods and if you've got a Key Item from the questline, you can pass through a gate and walk to the portal. We can already walk up to a gate in Mor Dhona, and the area behind it is kind of already viable as I said, would be nice if we can loiter there...

There is a number of places that are locked or visible on the map but sorta "Grayed out". I assume with each patch those Grayed out areas will be made visible ( with their own zone).
