Player Data saved to server need to be sooner then later

Especially in time for PS4 AT LEAST. I recently got a really nice computer where as I was playing on PS3.

Unfortunately, to me anyway, it is just not worth remaking my 50+ macros, redoing my hotbars for all my 50s, remaking gearsets, redoing my chat fonts, so on and and so forth.

We really really need to have this soon. Just let us save our player data to the server like any other modern MMORPG... or even do it like FF XI did where we save it manually. JUST DO SOMETHING :(

rather they should make it in a way to transit the data from PS3 to PS4... :O and woudl be awesome if they can make it able to cross over to PC as well and PC to PS3/PS4.

If you have Playstation + it saves to the PSN Cloud. Therefore, you can download it when you transition to the PS4. I play on 2 different PS3's and when I switch, I have to download the current version on my non updated PS3.

I dont have PS plus and I don't plan on getting it. I'm with the OP on this one. It's gonna SUCK if we have to redo everything mentioned in the OP again for ps4. I don't play my PC version currently for the reasons mentioned.

Didnt I read you need PlayStation plus to play online on PS4 anyway?

So problem solved. At least for PS3/PS4 anyway

I back up my PC HUD etc manually. Users .... > ffxiv a realm reborn > characters

Can just copy and paste to new games

PS4 version is free to play online. No + needed.

Is there anyway to put the PS3 player data on a usb drive and extract it to computer somehow?

Only the games who use Sony servers and not own servers

No point getting a PS4 if you don't get Plus really...may as well stay on PS3. If you're getting one just for this game, invest the 400+ dollars towards a good PC.

Every PS4 comes with a month of PS+, if there is an option to migrate FFXIV save data from PS3 to PS4 via the cloud then you could just activate your free month, back up your PS3 data to the cloud and then retrieve it on your PS4.
