Artifact equipment

If the "Addition" can be a removal, I would remove guildleves. If the addition has to be an addition I would add player housing.

Dual UI's (one for kb/mouse, one for controller), so I can finally play with my keyboard and mouse, and have it feel 100% like a proper PC MMO.

Complete with right-click, drag-and-drop, a proper mouse look, and no more going through layers upon layers of menus.

Ok so this is wacky, But it is a wish. I would wish FF14 to be a real world you could live in. You could travel betwan real life and Eorzea by way of a book like in Myst.

Player housing:

Housing that you can upgrade and expand upon, not only on the content inside the housing but also adding another room or two. Also allowing other people to come into the house. (basically XI's house with more toys hehe)

A fun and working party mechanic, with that would of course be defined roles and jobs.

A diverse, big world to explore instead of 5 copy/pasted vast areas of boringness.

Epic storyline and battle comparable to CoP

If you want to talk challenge and epicness, I'd say Ulduar with hard modes and all translated to FFXIV. Maybe Icecrown Citadel if you want a fight involving airships.

Part of why I'm not sure if I'll even want to play when it's no longer free-to-play. Because of the craptastic landscapes, only thing that even interests me is crafting because the cities, though they're also vastly copy/pasted, are the only thing truly pleasing to the eye and I can spend alot of time in them crafting.
