Apparently, every party will get a chest. This chest would be invisible for every party except yours. I guess you'll get 1/2 drops per group.
I was more interested in this loot lock I keep hearing stuff about. I would like details beyond "I think" and "I heard from my brothers friends sisters pet moogle".
4 bosses, 1 chest per group per boss. Once you get an item, you can no longer obtain any loot from CT for the rest of the week.
You can run as much as you want, but you get 1 shiny a week.
the lock-out may not be bad for casual gamers, but it is a disaster for hardcore players and FC.
Well the interview from where that info came from didn't ask far. He didn't ask questions like "Will we get Loot from each boss *Each boss has it's own loot lock*?" And a Very big Question is. " If everyone but the person that needs it doesn't loot on it, will the person that didn't loot but still needs it fall to him?" Or will it be wasted?
If a casual player can't play enough to run CT enough to get a piece (because they are casual players and have important real-life things to do (not saying hardcore don't) and a piece they want hardly ever drops), then that player is forever 1 week behind every player in the game that did get a piece that week. They can never catch back up. A hardcore player, on the other hand, would run the dungeons constantly until they got the piece they wanted.
Therefore, the loot lock-out affects casual players more than it does hardcore players.

Yoshida: As an example, imagine you defeat one of the bosses and one item appears in the treasure pool for your eight man party. You perform the "need," "greed," or "pass," as you normally do. If someone obtains a drop, regardless of the selected command, they will not be able to choose "need" or "greed" later on. This condition clears at a specific time. You will be able to obtain an item up to once per week, but you can challenge the area as many times as you want.
I really want this for Coil. I feel so sad when I don't get a drop. :/ And I've been doing it for .. months. Haha, I only got one drop. I wish there was at least tokens.
If that is correct it is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. I am not about to run DF with randoms for a specific drop that is random with no chance of getting anything else at all.
That is setup in a way that makes it possible to gear alts faster in coil. That makes no sense at all.
CT vs Myth class set (helm, body, legs, feet, gloves)
CT = 5 weeks depending on luck
Myth = 7 weeks 100% chance if you cap myth
^ Someone thought that was a good idea?
5 weeks period. You can keep spamming until you get what you want each week. Also I highly doubt that all of the items will be relevant. You might want only 2-3 per job. The same can apply to myth items, so it's not as cut and dried as you're making it out to be.Quote:

"We don't really know for sure yet" is the simple answer. They explicitly stated you wouldn't be able to "need" or "greed" again, that can be interpreted several ways.Quote:
Still leave one question. First off you are "Locked" from "Selecting" the button(s). If all people pass except for the person who has an Item from CT already, will he get that item by default? Or will it disappear? That is what I like to know.
Or you can be a bit smarter about it and do both at once. Do CT, see which gear slots you fill on weeks 1 and 2, then spend myth on a different slot. Repeat another 2 weeks and you have all slots filled with i80 or i90 in 4 weeks, since you will be able to farm i90 accessories from extreme primals. May not be BiS in each slot, but if you do it that way you have an avg ilvl of 85+, which is easily enough to do everything in the game, including turn 5, which means you can start filling said slots with BiS more easily.
