Idea to allow real skill to shine through

I have seen hardcore players saying that endgame is not challenging.

How about this: everyone only has one chance at clearing turn 1 - 5 each week. If you die anytime in coil, you will need to wait until next week to enter coil again.

This levels the playing field.

What's everyone opinion?

Doesn't affect hardcores cause they don't wipe 1-4

Everyone else gets no more loot. Forever.

That idea flies in the face of all of Yoshida's work in expanding the game's accessibility. Skill already shines in the fact that Coil's been beaten and people are running around with Allagan weapons. What more do you need?

One lag spike or a dc and ur not one of ur skilled ppl?
90k error, beat that and we see real skills ^^

Anyway, could work for a hm version after clearing T 1-5, would give u a second run pr week !

Seems a bit harsh considering that dying is not always your own fault.

Try to do turns 1-5 with 2 warriors and them repeat that :p

Maybe you didn't ,but I bet that most people died the first time they tried. Without the option to try again, if you had to wait 1 week to try again after a wipe... People will probably still be around turn 2-4. (And playing even less time. Well, probably most people woud just quit the game, because difficulty shoudn't come by not letting people play ;))

Surf thru all the NA/EU progression threads. If the current content is easy, why are so many people still stuck at twintania, even after the nerf~

Come on guys nobody up for the challenge?

Worst idea ever posted on the forums. This game is for casuals, not hardcores.

Because they are bad at video games?

people who are bored with the difficulty level just need to find ways to make it more challenging for them. make fancy youtube videos of clearling Titan with 6 people in starter gear. do coil turn 1 with 4 people... do turn 5 naked.... try to set a speed record... be creative

yes yes, this is not an excuse for the devs to take longer to make new content, but either they are working on it, or they are not. and I personally love to see videos of people doing 'silly' end game stuff. my SWTOR guild just recently managed to clear KP 16 man nightmare with 4 people, for example. it took us forever to figure out what to do with the debuff on the tower of hanoi but we figured it out eventually... I'm pretty sure the ARR community is creative enough to do things like that in this game. :P
