No separate Forum for each Class / Job?

Hey Community.

Yeah, I wanna speak about something I don't understand. Why aren't there forums for each Class OR at least each job?
I mean of course, it's a bit complicated in FF:ARR, but still doable?

Instead of that you see, we just simply have a forum for DoW, DoM, and DoL Classes. Which isn't really the purpose of that.
I always see people making a thread to talk about a specific thing in their Class / Job, and other guys who don't even mainly play that job just start talking about it from another perspective.
That's not how it's meant.

I wanna just simply have a section where I can talk about my class with only people who actually care about it, and not just drag their heads in and spam some shit how "that" is totally related to their dragoon.

I hope you all can follow me, bit hard for me to put in words. :rolleyes:

There is a Healers forum, a DD forum and Tank forum, no need to make one for every class/job

Ok, so i re read it a few times...still coming to the same conclusion....you want a Dragoon, Monk, Bard...etc etc forum. again i stick to my original statement, no need when there are already three separate forums for each class type, and there are titles where you can post in that particular forum Question about Dragoons or something specific like When is the best time to use Stoneskin on a DD you are saying that you want class specific FOrums cause people talk about other classes, but even with them, you will get people talking about other classes, but if you have a descriptive title 99% of the time you get the answer you seek

Alright.
First of all, it's unorganized. You may tell which Class or Job is meant from the title, but it's still just a bunch of random threads about ANY class in one forum. Every thread title would need at least a prefix to fix that.
Second, everyone is just in the same forum. Even if you're not even interested in (f.e.) Bards, you just simply get thrown into it. Of course there are questions about DDs, Tanks or Healers in general, but if I wanna read or write stuff about my Bard I just don't want no other threads or people in the same area, because I can't just do that then.
Forums below would be enough already, would that be so hard?

A few days ago I read a thread about a specific bard topic. And instead of people actually playing bards talking about it, only other class players threw their opinion in and said everything "in place of the Bards". Even if that opinion did totally differ.

For DRG it would be everyone just posting in one thread and everyone else making unnecessary threads 95% of the time. So its not a necessity for us.

Sounds like you feel you cant discuss what you want for fear of others coming in not particularly liking of your class and offering a different point of view. This would happen regardless. We generally seem to get more done and have better discussions the way its currently setup. Having multiple class forums has a few positives in most MMO where you can only play one class, but here you can play whatever, and if you play brd, drg,mnk,blm, thats already 4 sub forums to go through when they all have the same role.

I don't use the sub forums. I click on New posts. So if they had a sub forum each class, it'd be lost on me.

Hm, that's a good point actually.
It just feels like it's missing something. I have nothing against the current system in particular, it's just.. I dunno, weird? Lost for words actually.

Well, but if you wanted to find something out about a specific class, I guess you would just go there. It's basicly not the way you would handle a forum in general.

eh... not sure what exactly I'm reading here.

the .only. reason why I would maaaaybe understand this would be if people wanted to know 'unusual' things about their class, not related to the normal role. for example someone asking for the best dps rotation for a whm/cnj, since most whm/cnj folks will be found in the healing forums...

I'm just saying it's kinda unorganized and a few other points.
But as you say that, yeah. Where would you find guides, tips, collections of tools and other stuff and so on. You really can't just throw that into the DPS Forum, it would just simply be a huge mess.

Even if you did get a new system in which every class/job had a unique section in the forums it wouldn't make any difference. Every time someone posts it goes to the top of the New Posts section where everyone can see it. Therefore everyone can post on it. Also as a Tank u routinely go into the DD and Healer forums to see what is going on. Why you ask? To see what is going on to learn, no class is an island, its a party based game mode so you need co-operation not segregation. Finally just because someone doesn't play your class/job doesn't mean they can't give you some good advice healers and tanks should communicate especially but all classes should have discussion between themselves, we don't want a situation that involves a Dragoon posting on a bard page and people saying "Go away dragoon this is a bard thread you're not welcome!"

For what its worth Yuff-Yuff. I agree.

I like to go look at specific job threads.

Atm forums are like inventory, a huge mess ;)
