I've been one of the few or many (can't tell how many people suffered from this problem) who had rubber-band lag about 1 month after the game released. Basically everyone/thing around me would stop for about .5 all the way up to 2 seconds and then play catchup with the server once I synched back into it. I know it's packet loss, ISP, bla bla, etc. etc.
Regardless, the problem seems to be fixed now due to the recent maintenance. I can actually craft/gather reasonably fast, and its made a huge difference on everything in the game so far (for me at least, i know many don't suffer from this problem).
So whatever you did SE, please don't change it!

They said they were redoing the netcode for faster connections (via the last dev letter), but I thought it wasn't going to take place until 2.1. Maybe you just got lucky. :)

I get this issue occasionally as well. Titan has been impossible for me without a carry, I have to dodge before the warning areas even show up most of the time. I hope this fixes it for me too.

However right now, the rubber-band is completely gone, and I don't mean it's reduced, it's just gone. I click an ability for something and it actually goes off, it doesn't sit there for a good .5 to 2 seconds.

Time to try Titan tonight, although honestly Titan's screw factor is more about bombs (which is about planning movement) than dodging AoE I saw.
If you want a fight the 0.3 positional delay screws you on, do Ifrit HM without stuns.
Can't wait to test this and find out tonight!
