Company Poll

I saw something similar on the Japanese boards, so I thought it would be best to do it here too.

Just LIKE one of the three companies that you're thinking about joining below. This will allow us to gauge the popularity of the companies.

The Maelstrom - Chief Admiral Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn

At the heart of the Thalassocratic Navy lies the Lominsan Armada, composed of nine independent squadrons, the First through the Ninth. The Maelstrom is an extension of the First Squadron, expanding its role as armada flagship and granting it power to administer not only the remaining eight squadrons, but the various merchant fleets that navigate the seas off Vylbrand. With the reestablishment of the Maelstrom, the Admiral has also begun the move to invoke ancient maritime law, by which she would promote herself to Chief Admiral, effectively expanding her authority to cover not only state and military dealings, but grant her the power to directly command all ships in Lominsan waters, and freely punish any who disobey. Needless to say, the city-state's pirates are not about to this encroachment on their freedom without a fight.

The Order of the Twin Adder - Kan-E-Senna

The Order of the Twin Adder establishes a medium from which the Seedseers can return from their wanderings deep within the Black Shroud and directly oversee not only the safety of Gridania's citizens, but the workings of the local guard. Both the Gods' Quiver, who defend the forest from external threats, and the Wood Wailers, who protect it from internal strife, have expressed their support of this temporary measure. There are, however, those within Gridania who would question the ability of the Seedseers, whose duties until now have been limited to various ritualistic proceedings, and doubt whether or not they are fit to lead a nation into war.

The Immortal Flames - Raubahn Aldynn

Currently, the bulk of Ul'dah's military strength comes from their standing army of mercenaries and the small contingent of the palace guard know as the Sultansworn. To bring order to their ranks and oversee additional wartime training, the Sultana has considered resurrecting the Immortal Flames-an elite force of battle-hardened veterans that once instilled fear in the city-state's neighboring nations during ages past. This unit would act as a core aspect of the army, essentially bolstering its power, and in effect grant more authority to the Sultana and her advisors--something of which those in control of the city-state's economy--namely the Syndicate--are wary.

All three Great Companies have interesting history. It's very hard to choose one. So I'm planing to join to The Order of the Twin Adder becouse I've started in Gridania.

Also If I could like my own posts, I would like The Maelstrom, so 1 like for the The Maelstrom.

I'm surprise that Gridania is in the lead.

I love Limsa Lominsa and its naval fleet. I'm just worried that if everyone stays in Ul'dah all the time and does leves there 24/7, that everyone will yet again choose the Company in Ul'Dah and the other 2 cities get the shaft, again. But I'm swearing my allegiance to Limsa, my hometown. I'll help the other armies, when I can, especially if my friends are in them and need a hand, but I'm primarily supporting my home.

The Maelstrom

1) Because LL is the coolest city ;p
2) Merlwyb is as much (or maybe more) a badass as Raubahn Aldynn is. I mean, how many times do you discover safe routes through dangerous seas or sink invincible fleets? on the other hand, To be called "The Bull of Ala Mhigo" ... Its just awesome and they probably kick ass

More so than Kan-e-senna, who will probably just heal the whole alliance to 100% with Curaga VI, cast insane buffs and one shot baddies with never-before-heard Ancient magic, wheres the fun in that?

The Maelstrom for me :)

I rerolled.. Probably Gridania since that's where my new character is from!

So did anyone changed/made up their mind after patch 1.18?

I still haven't decided but I'm probably going to pick either Gridania or Ul'dah. I hope we get the speeches from the leaders before we choose since that would probably be my deciding factor.

Flames or Maelstrom, havent decided yet. Story mode from uldah for my char tho, so that might be the deciding factor in the end~

i currently am part of all 3. I started in Gridania, but i like Limsa Lominsa too. Ul'Dah, as stated above has everyone there, why....i do not know. I do have to say though that i have seen more people in both cities(Wutai).

I will be joining Limsa Lominsa as well, my home town.

Ul'dah! Not a bandwagoner it's my home! And all of the bluemagery throwbacks make me happy.

I Like Limsa Im thinking about going with them.
