We're pleased to announce the next Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XI focusing on the many exciting updates coming with Patch 2.1! This next Live Letter will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 04:00 a.m. (PST) / Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 12:00 (GMT)!

In this thread we'd like you to specifically pose questions regarding the upcoming addition of Beast Tribe Quests. In addition to collecting your questions in real-time via Twitter, we will also use this thread to gather your questions ahead of time and answer them during the event.

Will these new quests happen in the current strongholds' areas or there will be new zones that, for example, we'll reach through the stronghold's aetheryte?

Which kind of prizes we'll be able to obtain? Unique items, common items, tokens, exp, titles?

Will the Beast Tribes reward you with their own unique currency you can use to buy stuff with from them, or is it just Philosophy and Gil?

Can you please give us examples of what these quests will involve?
For example, will the quests be standard "Kill x number of x type of beastmen", or will they have more interesting tasks then the standard quests we do for EXP?

Will there be cutscenes with a story behind them or are they "Go kill 5 Ixali and return" type of quests?

Repeatable "beast tribe quests?" Are we seeing the return of hamlet defense? =D

While managing the beastmen hordes is primarily a combat activity, will there be any role for non-combat classes?

Will the beastmen tribe daily quests grant us access to the locked rooms in each Stronghold? Seems the throne-room of each beastmen race is currently locked.

Would these Beast tribe quests consist of needing a party of 4 or more to complete? Or is it made for solo play? Kinda hoping strongholds would be more dangerous and rewarding instead of being a walk in the park now.

What are Beast Tribe Quests and how will they work?

Will beastcoins from 1.0 be useable in any way for this type of content?

What is the purpose of Beast Tribe Quests? What incentive will we have by doing them?

Will the daily limit be one quest for each of the city states, aka one for each of the beast tribes. Or will it be a random tribe each day?

Also how much variety will their be between quests? Will we end up running the exact same quest/s every day or will they rotate/randomize between a selection to add daily variety?

If we do Beast Tribe quests, and if tonberry fall under beat tribes, then could we get Beast Tribe companions gaining enough of their favor?

1. Does Hamlet making a return? Back in 1.0, there's only like 1 beastmen per region that attacks each Hamlet's location. If this making a return, will there be different hamlet per different beastmens?
2. When does Ramuh & Shiva going to be introduced? I realized both appropriate beastmen area have their aetherite locations ready to be tagged.
3. Since most of the beast tribes exist in XIV-ARR came from FFXI, did you plan to bring the rest of them here, including newest race found in Ubulka / Adoulin region?
4. Are there new area opened up if there are new beast tribes introduced? considering our current Eorzea already kind of small to house more of them.
5. And most important of all, are there any explanation why some of beastmen's race in XI universe came to Eorzea? Not from technical vantage, but lore-wise.

Are these levequests or will they be utilising openworld mobs causing frustration and competition among the players?

How much time per-day would you expect the average player to spend on beast tribe dailies?

How varied are the different quests that are provided? levequests, for all their utility, seem to lack a lot in variety, bouncing between 5-7 different kinds throughout all of Eorzea.At 50, will they be more than just "Kill X Ixali Fencers which fight no different"?

Since I just watched the video for the patch 2.1 will we get the goobbue and drake mounts after completing those quest or what.

Forgot 1 important thing:

When does new BGM for Sylphs & Sapsa strongholds got realized? Using generic beastman BGM on those kinda really not fitting at all.
