Is it just me or do the pants not show up equipped even though they are. I saw some summoners the other day with no pants. However, when I saw their equipment I noticed that they have the Summoner's Trousers equipped. I also noticed some people in the forums that have the trousers equipped show up as not having pants on through the lodestone.

I would not at all be surprised if this is how the item is modeled on a female. See AF+1 Cleric 'pants' on Male vs Female.
Since the set was designed with the Thighboots in mind, existence of a visible model (below the white 'shirt' of the body item) may simply just not be there. -
