How is your FC handling fundraising for housing?

I'm currently tasked with soliciting donations and pledges from my FC members so we can have enough cash on hand to buy a housing plot when it becomes available. I've been thinking about various ways to handle this, so I'm curious what other FCs are doing.

Do you just have a few people who are going to cover the entire cost out of pocket already?
Is everyone in your FC going to be obliged to contribute a share?
Are you doing any kind of FC fundraising events, like auctions or raffles?
How are you keeping track of the funds raised so far?
Do you have any concerns about the GMs accidentally flagging you for RMT activity with money changing hands?

We are accepting donations from every member, not minium or maxium amount, everyone can contribute what they want.
Since the FC bank permissions are quite useless at the moment we just make anyone who wants to make a donation to send the gil via Moogle to me (the leader) and i add it to the FC Bank.

I keep the company board updated with the amount we have raised so far and a Google Drive excel document open to everyone in the FC that shows how much has been donated by everyone so that they can check that nothing is being taken. If someone wants to make an anonymous donation we just put a "Donator A" as the character name in the document.

Our goal is to raise 4 million with that method and we are currently in 2'5m. (We are a quite small FC so we are happy with that number so far, aiming for a middle size house)

Everyone in my FC volunteered to donate towards housing as soon as it was announced. No events or raffles were required.

It would be really nice if they could tell us an estimate on how much the housing will cost. My FC is really small so we don't have a lot of money floating around us so it'd be nice to get an idea so we'd know if we should make strides to make more money in the game or if what we have would be enough.

Sadly prepping for it could actually be hurting everyone, they have said the main reason they are making it last minute is so they can monitor the economy and the amount of gil everyone has. They want it to be expensive, and to take a large chunk of gil out of the game.

So in your opinion, if an FC decides to have a fundraising event, that'd be bad?

As soona s we knew the housing came out people startet doanting like mad, after 5 days it was a race on wich person donates the most.. we are atm a bit over 5Million. But I guess that number will rise higher and higher.. I only want to be the One who donated most *haha

donations, lotteries where a portion of the gil goes to the fc, everyone leveling crafting jobs...ect.

No.

I doubt anyone in my FC would be against an event, but it'd be unnecessary.
