I'd be more upset if they took away Internal Release TBH.
What were the subs for BRD before they changed it in phase 3/4? My memory sucks but I want to say cnj and lnc?? Think they forgot to test it when they decided to change BRD from support to damage (i.e ranger...)
I think they might lower bfb and internal release to 15%

Considering they hardly gain any benefit from CNJ, i would assume thats where the change is, but I may be wrong on that. (Honestly they should be allowed to equip Cure, despite how useless it would be)
Will more than likely be a Blood for Blood nerf, that paired with Raging Strikes gives such a huge boost, lol.
They will probably remove Blood for Blood or Internal Release from hes cross class abilities.... or maybe both.... This would destroy Bards DPS.
And all just because the average player is horrible at playing Melee and cries about Bard being OP, when Monks can do way more damage and they are getting huge buffs...

Pretty much cause melees are bad we get called OP so they get buffed and we get nerf'd slightly. All DPS classes can do more than BRD if played right.
They will probably remove blood from blood.
If they also remove internal release, I will be VERY PISSED OFF.
This is a VERY unfair nerf. BLM dmg is OP, yet BRD gets nerf batted? Nerf that we can move like crazy while shooting, but not our actual damage. This makes no sense and was produced by crybabies.
I won't be surprised if they switch LNC for CNJ or ACN. More support, less damage
They could always script it to say BFB increase melee dmg by 20% and ranged dmg by 15% for example
If they do that, please make medica a cross class ability, and change mage ballard to decrease dmg by 20%, but increase determination by 20%

Maybe if BRDs wouldnt have access to invigorate, Army's Paeon would become a more viable choice. I would really hope they would just get rid of the dmg penalty on paeon, its in no way as useful as ballad in its current form.
Possible brd nerf would be to get rid of lnc as cross class and give them back conj like in 1.0. Would make brd have to paeon more of they need tp reducing their damage. Give them some more throw away support abilities a cure and stoneskin.
I wish they would just tell us what they are doing so we can make contingency plans, start rolling on alts etc. Sure okay they can nerf us but how would that improve anything? How is contributing less damage with our party going to help anyone? Battles are a team effort. When you take something vital away from a team member it can only make the team suffer. I respect other classes and they play how they want to play, it doesn't affect me. I'm happy tp hear about buffs for the WAR and DRG. I just don't get how it impacts other people and why they want BRDS to suffer so to speak.
What bothers me the most is the potential to be less useful to my team.
For heaven's sake i pray they do not make it CNJ instead of LNC or PGL because then it will be 1.0 all over again....
In 1.0 I was forced to level BLM because BRDs were the black sheep of dps BECAUSE they were seen as support/off healer just because they could equip healing spells. But what you need to realize is, BRDs do not have the MP to spare for off healing since our songs suck the life out of our mp as it is. Either the crybabies want our songs or they want support, they can't have both unless SE changes the songs from mp consuption to timed like 1.23. Also when I am playing on my DRG i can do as much dmg or more than my BRD can consistently so I have no idea why these players are complaining about BRD especially since for now this is a PvE game. Who seriously complains that a class/job is OP in a PvE game?
I dunno...with two healers in a party already CNJ skills would just be junk skills I would never use. Without Invigorate I would just stand around auto attacking for long stretches of time and be effectively dead weight to my team.
What i ready in the translate, bard is not going to be nerf a lot as ppl are saying, and i could see in his face that he didn't approve the nerf on bard, while he as saying that bard are useful for any content and that's what would change, he is probably going to lose some dmg, or suport skill. (he affirmed that silence wouldn't be)
Don't think they will take invigorate out, since bard need it to keep rain of death, and to use aoe, taking invigorate out and they can take all the 3 aoe skill too because they will never be used.
Now there is one thing bothering me, is that i read this phrase there right after he finish talking about DRG, "increase in 10% close range damage" and start talking about the ranges, so i couldn't understand if he wanted to say that dragon would give 10% more dps, and the translate was wrong, or this is an incentive for ranges to fight close to boss and had to evade more mechanics.
A Dragoon on a dummy for sure, but a Bards mobility and ability to do damage in any situation overcompensated for the discrepancy. Dragoons also have a 27 press rotation so their DPS is a bit more earned, not to mention that melee should have some incentive for their increased difficulty and rigid requirements.
And the people who say that one class is OP are the people who want all classes to be viable. If one class is clearly superior to all others it crushes balance.
Removing LNC skills will kill the job. Think about it.
If BRD loses invigorate, the only way they can get TP up is paeon. BRD burns through tp at a moderate pace on its own, but once you start throwing in Rain of Death it burns through it substantially faster. Add in AoE spam and there's no question that they burn through their TP faster than any other job in the game.
BRD will end up having to rely on paeon to keep their TP up, which means no requiem and no ballad. The only way to get ballad as well is to add another BRD to the group and have one ballad and the other paeon so both can be kept up for a long duration of time. But the problem is they get -20% dmg debuff the entire time. Add that to the fact that they'll lose BfB, and you have a severely gimped DPS class taking up 2 slots in your party, and we all know how great the majority of people are with DPS checks in this game already. Why even bother taking BRD anymore? DRG and MNK are getting buffed, which already do higher DPS than BRD. It would kill the job completely or at the very best turn it into the job that nobody wants to play but someone has to if healer MP becomes an issue in a fight.
I spend my time keeping Mages Ballad up. I don't know how I would be able to manage my TP and help the healers at the same time. TP song is supposed to be for the group and not yourself only. So then wouldn't it make people more inclined to take two bards to every fight if this is the case. So one can keep each ballad up?
Guess we will find out on Dec. 17th......
i have no idea where u took that i never used it, since i use it a lot on some wp sr with no blm/smn and also on turn 4. so... anyway, even with the music it wouldmt ne worth using aoe because the proc chance is ridiculous and u would lose all ur mana to aoe and keep rod after.
Without invigorate i would never spam aoe on turn 4 again by sure,

100% agreed, ppl would bring bard for turn 2 on the best scenario.

I just wish they'd make them have to stand to use abilities. That's all. Keep everything as is, just remove the one thing that bard can do that no other job can efficiently do.
If I can do the entirety of Haukke Manor solo because I can kite and use abilities, you know something's off.
You can ask the 4 or 5 people I've pulled the entire dungeon with without a tank because the tank derped and needed to repair.
It's not hard. You just number, run in a big circle around the stairs (or around the entire sqare if you're in the basement), and blow your abilities on the main target. DPS will be light enough that they wont pull it off you, and if you DO happen to have a healer, the healer can heal the other DPS and peel one off while you solo another.
I've done it plenty. I'm sure you can too if you try.
For instance, boss 2 -
Focus is on the imp, bring it to the middle by targeting it first and then run around in a large circle around the room, the skeleton mob will eventually get into the lock trying to use it's AoE move, and will stop doing damage. This leaves you with just the imp to DPS down, then tap the skeleton boss while he continues to chase you.
For the final boss, circle shoot the boss, bomb adds explode on their own so simply keep distance, when the other adds spawn, do a large circle around the entire room, you can out-range the Fire III's, and the eye will constantly try to do the TP attack (Because it's timer based and never catches up).
If you have a healer and dps with you, the fights become even more trivial as you just tell the healer to leave you alone and keep the DD up while they do their thing to the main target.
Maybe it's just that Haukke Manor is a joke though as all of the bosses have this sort of nuance that you can get around.

If they remove or nerf cross class Blood for blood or Internal Release, BRD DPS will go down the crapper. IR in particular as we use it ALL THE TIME and it affects ALL OUR DEBUFFS.
B4B wouldn't be as bad to lose as it's timer is pretty high, while IR is used basically non stop through the rotation.
Still, an unfair and dumb change caused by QQ melees.
