I know a friend of mine changed his race off of miqo'te because he hated the male miqo'te dance.

How could anyone hate anything a c@ does?

I used to be a Miqo'te in beta but couldn't even walk out of Ul'dah without seeing 3 copies of myself. I rerolled this character because I didn't see anyone with this look in beta, still only saw a sister once so far. My Miqo'te retired from adventuring and became a retainer instead :)

Lalafell souls sell better then Miqo'te pelts...UnlessvI get my hands on some Male kittens. Those upper class Lalafells like to buy them.

OMG! I did the same!

I play Elezen because I don't want to be CAT #483726! Simple as that. :) Being different is a plus.

Because animals are too high-maintenance. The more perfect(like the Elezen) you are, the better...

Plus, I wouldn't like having a tail to be yanked, too many insignificant souls would be lost.
