Heck the bed

Dear Com reps,

can you guys ask the devs and Yoshida if we can have back the "Heck the bed" option in the Inns or in our housing?

It was very interesting in 1.0 to have dreams after relogin and finding items in the bed

We would love to have it back

I was just thinking to myself last night while I was logging out that the "Heck the bed" option would be nice to have again. There's not enough bed hecking in this game.

Eggs. I don't know how they got there, or why they aren't broken, but eggs in my bed were hilarious.

I support this thread. Nothing like getting up every morning and finding a ginger cookie under your pillow. Sure, you don't know where that cookie's been, but at least someone was thoughtful enough to put it there.

It was an option in version 1.0 where you could check the bed in your innroom, and occasionally find items hidden in it, usually after waking up and having a notice that your character had a dream (after the final save maintenance you could even find random relic weapons in it). Because the word 'check' would often be mistyped as 'heck', it became a meme in the game to 'heck the bed'. ;)

And yes, I'd love to have it back. :3

Actually it was more than that. When the patch notes including the information on inn rooms was posted, the devs themselves typoed "Heck the Bed", which was quickly caught onto by the forums. While they promptly fixed the spelling error, it was too late and Hecking was born

If I let my muscle memory take over, I often still try to heck my bed.

I also tend to run into the blank wall in Limsa where the elevator used to be, and try to exit Ul'dah through the door in front of the stairs, and try to get into Ul'dah's inn rooms near the fountain. I wonder if that will ever go away.

Woah, 1.0 was more complex and complete than ARR as far as I can see. I support that... also, I want pajamas or something... :(

We've been asking for pyjamas every since going to sleep in the bed was a thing. Still hasn't happened, obviously :\.

I liked finding random stuff in my bed. No idea how the eggs got there though.

But yes please, this game needs more bed hecking.

I've been "hecking the bed" ever since the relaunch just out of habit.

I also wake up and look around, slightly disappointed to not see a familiar Highlander face...

Actually, when this was first introduced, I think it was in the update notes where it said "Heck the bed"... A typo which got fixed quite quickly. But only after people mentioned about it on the forums.

That might be saying a bit much considering the subject matter.

As for pajamas wear your small clothes. Make the low level crafted racial gear. On my female miqote its obviously panties and a camise. On Female taru's it looks like a night gown. Might be the closest thing we got.

I second this, the camera angle of the cutscene is also awkward for when I actually get in and out of bed. Please bring back the 1.0 version where we can freely move the camera.
