Question about Planned Sept Release:

So from the release of the game which we purchased, all this time that we've (basically) had a free trial of the game, all of our character progression and etc will be deleted when the game offically moves to a service?

So like, my dude who is a level 18 rank this that and the other thing will be completely wiped, once SE starts the monthly service charge system?

they will not do a wipe
this has been stated SEVERAL times by yoshi

No they said they will never do a character wipe.

To be honest, I think they should not have assured no wiping of characters.

I believe that decision must have somewhat restricted possible modifications to the game, because with that in mind, they cannot make changes that will greatly affect the classes, like the removal of redundant classes or drastic reassignment of skill between classes or even renaming of classes.

Can you imagine how terribad this would be for SE?

It's not even a thought in the dev team's head, lol. Don't worry about it.

This. Probably not no one, but wiping characters... I think they couldn't bear the effects of it. (^-^)
Anyways, the way they answered this, was pretty cool I think.
In one of the Producers Letters, Yoshi answered to a player who sent him a letter asking this question.

Could you imagine how bad that would further cripple SEs image...not only do they sell you crappy waaaaaaaay unfinished products but if you happen to stick it out through the bullshit they do a surprise character wipe on you 1 year later. Yeah that would go over well with the gaming community around the world.

They wont wipe your character in september, but they will wipe it in october.

The only wipe square will do is the one when they shut down the game completely.

If they do it before that... the shutdown will not be long off anyways because the overwhelming majority of players who are playing would simply quit.

Good thing they promised there would never be a wipe.
