Is this what it boils down to?

Ok so game has been out for some time now, currently have all caster classes at 50 with relic and 70/90 gear on them all, crafting 2* HQ items with no issues, sitting on stupid amounts of gil (high of 6 million).

I log monday to earn myth and run coil.

now what?

there is literally nothing to do, 2-4hrs max per week of progression then nothing till the following week.

from what we know 2.1 will not fix this, Crystal tower is a big waste of time since it will be lvl 80 gear

2 hard mode dungeons just means a new place for myth

extreme primals will almost def be killed on day 1

PVP will make or break this game, if it sucks most people will quit, me being one of them, i paid 6 months in advance but i don't care since i can never get my money's worth even if i stay

Are you really posting just to whine or actually looking for suggestions on things to do?

try a melee class?

Some time? For quite a lot of people, it's only been out for a few months. Or is that considered "some time" in todays ADD gamer world?

Tbh i was looking for anything, i given up on what i was doing which is just helping random people through titan and relic chain (for free) I hate melee/tanks, always have in any game, i tried them all in beat, still no change

yeah you might as well just quit then. PvP doesnt belong in MMO's and it definately doesnt belong in Final Fantasy. All it does is bring imbalance issues and theres always going to be 1 job that everyone cries about, then it gets nerfed and that job cries, then another one is going to be the job that everyone cries about. Its just a vicious cycle of imbalance and inperfections and even if it were completely 100 percent balanced, PVP in MMO's relies so much on gear, that skill doesnt matter, but gear does, and again is another reason why PvP just doesnt work in MMO's. You want good PvP? go play a FPS where everyone is equal and it literally comes down to skill and precision.

There's 300 threads like this. Cancel your sub if you want SE to change anything. That's all I can tell you. That, or play another MMO, but this GD is absolute garbage. If I were SE I would just shut it down.

I've actually found it to be a perfectly good GD Forum. Clearly you are suffering from one of two things:

You're new to forums.

or

You have an incredibly short/selective memory.

I am getting bored from the tediousness of it all. I only come back for the RP, but with people focused on end game (which I don't blame them, it's awesome) it's be in the dungeons or .... not.

I thought to pick up crafting and harvesting, but even they become a grindfest.

I'm used to expansive worlds, many quests, things to DO. If you can grind out 50 levels over and over, more power to you. But this girl just can't.

quit and find other things to do to pass up time.

I'd be burned out and ready to quit too if I had already done everything you said.

Have you pretty much been playing all day, every day, since release?

Dude, the game doesn't exist in order to provide you with a never-ending stream of content. Maybe try doing something else for a while?

I'll never understand these threads, people hammer away at the game for a ton of time and then complain that there's 'nothing to do.' There's plenty to do; you did it. Not the game's fault.

yes.

Gotta love the advice of go play something else to maximize enjoyment out of this game. Do any of you saying this realize how ass backwards that sounds? You know what's funny to me, the Biodrones for SWTOR acted the same way alot of the fanboys here do and hell it had more subscribers initially than this game did. What happened to that again?

I find it funny that the same people who post threads like these, bash on how much time it took to achieve goals in FFXI and meanwhile bash the "We want XI type content" threads into the ground. When in reality if there were more content like FFXI, people would have many many things to do and achieve. It's just ridiculous how much cognitive dissonance that exists within the casual playerbase/mainstream, as if they're to be spoon fed entertainment, but make sure it's chocolate covered french vanilla ice cream with sprinkles on top, will you?

The devs really need to pick up on this and figure out that the older type MMO's actually have some valid endgame style content still.

It's not backwards at all. In fact, it's applicable to EVERY element of your life.

I'll never stop being amazed that so many people misunderstand this basic fact: scarcity breeds desire, unfettered desire breeds over-exposure, over-exposure breeds familiarity, familiarity breeds contempt.

Those who are truly out of content at this point aren't superior to any other player, in any way; in fact, I would argue that the opposite is true. They lack control and an understanding of the concept of moderation. But, then again, so did I when I was younger...

OP, Why don't you try your hand at getting some of the in-game achievements? :) I'm currently working on getting my Axe of the Luminary(very long and boring achievement) then I plan to tackle some more battle and collecting related stuff. I believe there's plenty to do, if you choose to. If not, then that's too bad. ^^

I play the game everyday for about 2-3hrs (if i can) and still enjoy it.

Granted there are issues and SE is really starting to irritate me with how slow their patches are.

I would rather see trickle content than wait 5 months for some new stuff I will burn through in a month at most...

The constant "Nope" attitude the devs have been giving on stuff is also rather annoying.

Same here. I play about 2-4hrs a day depending on my schedule and I enjoy every minute. I also agree with the trickle content you mentioned. I think there are tons of quality-of-life fixes they can implement sooner rather than waiting for a huge patch.

So you got 8/20 classes to 50.... still got some work to do.

I see your point, but what do you expect, game's not finished yet. If you were in beta you knew that before buying the game.

Do what I do, sit in toll for interesting things to shout out or sell titan while playing minecraft on another screen.

This. Seriously playing this game through even a 2nd time through, fate grinding mindless and mind numbing.

It boggles my mind at how many people have completely cleared everything and then complain about it. You guys must seriously been playing 8-10 hours a day/everyday. I've been playing my current character since open beta and have about 8 classes and the highest I've gotten to is 34 bard. Unless these same people are legacy, but then again, if you are legacy then you knew what you were getting into since you've been playing this long. Slow down, enjoy the game. I play every night (minus 1 or 2 nights where I'm too tired) about 4 hrs (more on weekends) and I still have a long ways to go. Stop blaming SE and look in the mirror...have some self restraint. *This isn't in reference to anyone in particular, btw...just my observations*

I don't envy the developers. They make these wondrous virtual worlds and all many players are able to do is bitch and whine. The problem is not in the game, guys, it's within you.

I guess you can keep logging on everyday and be miserable, complaining on forums looking for an answer that isn't there, or find a new hobby.
