So far there's been one quest with 2 fate locations. One at Western La Noscea(33,28) and one at Middle La Noscea(15,12)

I heard you get new hair, you get it?

Was disappointed in the CNJ wand to be honest. I was hoping it'd be a 2h staff since Vanille's doesn't look this short.

The Aesthetician (Beauty Parlour, whichever you care to call it) isn't out yet. It comes out next month in patch 2.1, so right now we probably have it it's just not something we know of because we can't choose to see it yet.

Also the hair will be Lightning's for women, Snow's for men.

You can get the haircut as soon as the Barber Shop is open. I'm hoping to see some high level drops as the event progresses.

The blm one would be fitting if there was a time Mage in the game...so where's the vendor?

I have heard in previous threads they are gender based lightning for female, n the snow outfit for male's, not 100% on that though yet :/.

They are, and since you can only do the event once, it means you can't get both. Even if you changed gender and tried to redo it, you've still finished a one-time event.

oh, that's a shame. even if it did rot on my retainer for years till i decide to use my fantasia pot. i would've liked to collect both.

Two questions if anyone's acquired one or more weapons yet: can they be placed in the Armoire in your Inn Room, and can you acquire all weapons?

None of the Lightning Items are Armoire able

So how exactly does this work? Done the FATE a few times, Lightning has appeared and given a small speech then nothing. Am I missing something here?

Well, that's certainly disappointing. That will definitely cut down my participation in the event.

She also runs around during the FATE and seemingly run around like a rabbit in fear of the monsters (so much for lightning lethality when "dispatching foes" xD). But i could have seen wrong, Ps3 loads her briefly then she goes invisible, and comes back a bit. etc. I still think it's fun to stand next to her during the speech and take screenshots of me posing. Also since i'm on Ps3 only she loads and not the horde of other players around. HAHAHAHAA. *evil'*

So yeah i agree, it kinda sucks but appreciate it for what it is. I didn't have any assumptions other than, we'll see Lightning, a modern Final Fantasy setting character in a medieval Final Fantasy setting game. AWESOME ENOUGH. Looking forward to the future quests coming.

Does anyone know the timing between fates?

does anyone know the name of the fates. I go to where they should be sit there for a hour and nothing comes up. I don't have all night so y cant it come up more

Alister, North and a little west of Swiftperch by the dodos is where I've been doing it.

I can't remember the exact name of the one in Middle La Noscea but I think it's Scissor Shears. It's the one where all the crabs pop at the road intersection near the wolves. Lightning won't appear every time. When she does the music will change to FFXIII battle music and you'll see Lightning talk.

I am a little surprised that all of the weapons are only level 12, and even the stats are not that great. They are not even HQ, just white items.

It makes me wonder about the possibility of having some sort of Transmog system. Obviously WoW has mastered this feature, and while I found the transmog system very clunky and arbitrary in GW2 at least it was there to use (the dye system was fantastic though!). Is there any speculation on this? Any reason it isn't actually in the game? I was pretty shocked when I found this out.

I'd get them anyway and just storage them in some forgotten corner of your Retainer, till the 2.2 update or if they do a mini update and make the storage-able.

Unless you're like me and your retainers are both already full with crafting material / materia that you're actively using.

Really, the fact that you can't store these weapons in your Armoire kills this event for me.

Glad I wasn't the only one that thought this, I was really disappointed in the half size version of this weapon.

I accepted the quest and participated in both FATEs. Lightning showed up and gave her speech, but I didn't receive any Otherworldly Parcels. I'll try it again over the weekend. I was wondering if we were supposed to emote to her or something, but nobody has mentioned that. Probably just a glitch...

You need to get at least a silver medal to get the parcels

Check your retainer's inventory, that's were mine ended up for some reason.

Silver rewards 1, gold 2 from what i can tell.

where are the quest givers?

ok so maybe 2 things

Where can i find the vender after i turned in chapter 1, I noticed i only had 4 of otherworldly parcel so when back to the fate to get more and returned with more and he's gone.

He's in the same spot in Limsa. He doesn't move. I've gone back a couple times. You may just have forgotten his location.

What exactly do you do with Simple/Strange/Stunning parcels?

The vendor in Limsa only accepts regular otherworldly parcels as items yet I have one of each of the above in my inventory and I can't seem to do anything with any of them.
