I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person with irregular raid schedules and I'd rather not wait 40 minutes to form a shout group.

Who cares if coil is on DF? That's not stopping my static group.
Why all the hate?
the next dungeon is going to be df and they said its almost equivalent to coil
To be honest thinking on it, I"m surprised they didn't create a more engaging process to the Duty Finder, while yes they have this "automatic" function to joining a dungeon once the proper members are found, how come they never considered making "cross-server" hubs that house 150-200 people who are attempting the same dungeon.
So say you have people who are looking for Coil runs, you set up a DF for Coil and are sent to an instanced "adventurer's guild" filled with other members looking for the same event. From that point you setup the party and change jobs as needed and once you setup the group your leader talks to the NPC in the area and sets up the dungeon run for you.
I don't like it because it will make an already clogged DF system worse. Not to mention that DF'ing a coil run is sure to get you a group full of scrubs in AF gear/GC weapon/ilvl 30 jewelry trying to do content they aren't ready for. Trust me, you're going to be waiting a lot longer than 40 minutes after having the system reserve the instance, find a group, and then 49/50 groups will proceed to wipe over and over again on ADS. I'd rather shout in Mor Dhona for 40 minutes than wait in a queue for just as much time only to have a very small chance of getting anywhere after I'm in.
Fix the clogged system before piling more straws on the camel's back.
I support this. Even if you're not expecting a win with DF, its a great way to get some practice in.
Everyone should be for this - with ilvl requirements built into DF there's no reason not to do this.
Enough with these giving people options to play the game the way they want! I say remove everything from DF and make all dungeons 40 man raids that require a minimum time investment of 10 hours each!
Get over yourselves. For this game to be successful and long-lasting, SE will have to incorporate many playstyles so more people can feel they are advancing their characters and having fun. Coil being on DF does absolutely nothing to you, except make you cry when a DF PUG completes a turn before you do. Everyone knows what they are getting themselves into when they use the DF and if you are willing to subject yourself to that, I say go for it.
The mistake they did was to continue the main story in coil. Because of that they will have to make it more accessible in the future if they want to or not.
Very few if any of those people would use the DF, and most of them are semi-statics pugging some vacancies. Much like Titan the DF would largely be the domain of people who can't do it.
C'mon people square is actually doing you a favor by not having DF; forcing you to find and coordinate with parties only makes it easier on yourself.
It shouldn't be added to the DF until the ilvl restrictions are put in place. With people buying their Titan kills and the like, there are people that currently get by with the bare minimum. These are the type of people I would not want to be randomly grouped with.
They are already adding "gearscore", so why not add coil to duty finder? It would be nice to not run ak/wp 100 times or so for gear. It gets old very, very fast. There is no other way to progress besides running them over and over and over... you get the idea.
joins coil in DF
fails
gets locked out

is what would happen
Computer systems do not spontaneously break down. With the way DF is designed with hard cap on number of instances of certain dungeons, even if everyone was using only DF all that would mean is once your allotted number of Coil or whatever dungeons filled up, everyone else is stuck waiting in line. The system isn't going to explode from the fact that there are a lot of people in line waiting for Coil. So there's really no reason why adding Coil to DF would break anything. Now whether adding Coil to DF does any good? That I have no idea. It can easily be a ghost town like the normal mode Primals or Cape Westwind, or it might actually work. Like many suggested some kind of minimum item level requirement is most likely needed.
You only get locked out of that turn if you beat it. So uhh, what's the problem? Let people bang their heads against a turn in DF all they want. How does that affect anyone? iLvl is coming shortly and that would resolve the min gear requirements.
People already bang their head against Titan HM via DF, and sometimes those groups down titan. Guess what, turn 1/2/3... they are not harder then Titan.
Oh look, it's THIS thread again.

Part of raiding is taking the time and effort to form a group of comrades. Raids quickly become meaningless when you have no connection to the people you're playing with.
We have several players in our FC who have erratic work schedules, are on-call at any given notice, etc, yet they find a way to make it work for them. You can too.
