After playing ff14 I clearly understand that easy way is not the fun way. When you enter a new world, it should be dark, unknown, super inconvenient, dangerous, then let us explore map ourselves, give us choco, airship, tele in order.
Is it possible to reset map to darkness and reset monsters route to make it more exciting or at least consider it in new areas?
This way choco could be more meaningful, can even consider trading maps and marks for gil instead of follow the map and close my eyes walking 30mins without getting any aggro...just a thought

oh and cancel some tele spot in wild, also can consider doing something at tele spot to gain access to next area may be? like quest to fight, clean monster on passage, quest to mine, build road to next spot, fishing...hmmmm... etc

Thank you for your advice, think I didn't say it all. I think I should put it as rich content, not just danger. I'm riding on a choco running around, and hay there is a different stone I didn't see yesterday, looks like crystal, let's try mining, hay the tree over there bear fruits today, that's new. Hay after yesterday's raining the river out of reach flood and I can reach now, hay this ancient instrument start to shine under the full moon, think I can use it to craft something. SE try to make everything a job then let's get those jobs all on fields, not just NM mobs...we need all kinds on fields, like mentioned in another post I just read, random mobs, this could be a lot easier, just change a pic or two don't even need to design the AI, but it could make the world changing everyday and can bring ppl together. like one goblin NM love cooking, only cook at 18:00 no rain weather, when he's cooking there would be a bushfire just like in ff11, then party go inside draw him away, cooker check bushfire pop craft window and try to finish it, if you can finish it you get the recipe XD... the kinda^^b..may be I shouldn't post it here....

At the moment, Eorzea is the most barren, un-inspired and loveless country I've seen in a game for a loooong time. Even the first levels of super mario land (Monochromatic Game Boy) had more color and life to them.

I also think other stuff like smithing has to wear unfinished armor, certain kind, and get hit by some monsters, some heavy blows then the armor could be done, like blu, also like goblin digger in 11, some material can only be found by following some mobs. clothcrafts man should collect needles from ppl hit or killed by 1000 needles, not just drop...that's so boring...weather can be strange too, come on it's final fantasy, if you say there would be 1000 knives drop from sky or today's weather forecast is carp rain I would not be surprised

Supposed to have danger added via roaming beast tribes among other things soon...but not sure if that'll be added in 1.18. Really hope so though, along with more enemy diversity in the surrounding areas.

SE try to make gatherer or crafter a fulfilled job but might feel it's too hard to do and leave them unfinished. To make up for this they introduce the flexbile job system, but from that trading system you can see they did expect to have some full time gatherers or crafters or even some players being a merchant, because only they can handle a complicated system like that. When the game is not welcomed at start, they didn't try to improve the game to make it more fun but try to settle it with fixing it back to old ff11 way and killing some new ideas. I'm not the one to judge but yah let's see how 1.18 turns out -

I wouldn't mind if they added zones you had to sneak through like in FFXI. There was always a sense of excitement for me when my sneak / invis started to wear and I had to scramble to find a safe spot to recast or else a high level orcs will aggro and punch me in the face.

How do u feel about something like random NM gathering spots? Like an old tree thats alive that failing to to gather from it injures or kills the player? Or giant fish NM that put up quite a struggle and could kill you by dragging you into the water. I would like an OP warp system, where you lose the warp or have to pay more for it if taken by beastmen. I wouldn't have it by city-state though, since uldah has more base people anyway. Just players v beastmen. And these would be only accessible by foot or op warp, not anima.
