I know there are several variables like several teams throughout Square Enix and being a publisher of other developers, but overall...some of the things I've been seeing I can't say I fully approve of.
For example, Square has there hand in so many things, even making models of Halo merchandise. Doesn't that seem so odd? They're dabbling in so much...but what has come out in the past 5ish years that really touched us like in the past? That felt relatively complete, compelling, and overall something we would add to our "favorite games" list. More often than not...games released in those past 5 years or so are talked about only to represent the 'bad' of them, and not about anything positive, but perhaps graphics?
I wouldn't mind people proving me wrong on these thoughts. I want to believe SE is as good as they have always been. I mean, I'm still here playing this game because I'm trying to hold out hope for it. But..as evidence feels like it's piling up before me, I'm starting to wonder...
