Gear Sets should save settings for Hiding/Displaying Helm and Weapons

Title says it all. I like the hats/weapons for some of my gearsets, but for others, it looks silly. Whether the helm or weapon is hidden/shown should be saved along with the gear set so that when you change sets, it automatically updates.

This can be done with a macro, but it'd be nice if it was integrated with the system that's already in place.

Yes I agree! I just posted this on another site, but here seems to be the only means which SE reads? (highly unlikely though)

More importantly, gear sets should be saved on the server, with the rest of your character data. Move between console and PC, or different PCs, and you lose your gear sets and hotbars.

Not if you sync the C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn directory between the two computers.

That works if they're both PCs, but if one's a PS3 you're out of luck.

Oh, and to the initial point, I agree. I've got a few gear sets for which I'd like to show the hat/helm, but since for most of the rest of them I don't, I wind up never showing it. It'd be much better if the show/hide option was included as part of the set so could be set differently for different sets.

Agree completely. Like most MMOs, in my experience, FFXIV is no different, helmets/hats are either horrid or awesome looking. Not sure why that is, really. Must just be the nature of the universe. I was going to suggest that titles should also be linked to gear set changes (with the option to set same title across all gear sets.) But, as it appears titles only show up when you examine another player and not in their display name, guess it's moot(ish.) Or maybe I'm wrong. I've been searching for a few days for info about (achievement) titles being shown in a player's display name but haven't found much at all. A bit disappointing. Was super happy to bink my Stormlord achievement title just before maintenance downtime first thing this morning only to be let down when I logged back in and my shiny new title wasn't hovering over my head next to my name. :(
