Well seeing as the FATE events start on the 14th, can anyone tell me what level the weapons will be and will it be like the "Moonfaire Festival" event where you get something like bomb ash and trade them in to get the weapons and outfit?

We have about as much information as you do. That said, recent stuff popped up on the eorzea database on the lodestone. The weapons and armor will be level 13. No word yet on the FATEs themselves.
whats the point >.> not like theres vanity slots that are nvr gonna be added
Gotta get that bookerang.
They need to have two options, one is first obtaine the lvl 13 weapons then you can trade it in for the lvl 50/+ version in mor dhona for the players who have lvl most if not all of the classes above lvl 13.
I'M BEING HELPFUL!

Yes you are...did not get around to looking their yet...thanks.
Why would we want level 50 versions? Were still not going to use them then. They are ment for vanity whenever that is released. At least being level 13 (which makes sense since it's ff13) we can use them on low level guys until around 20.
Guess Again
Vanity Slots in patch 2.2 @1:29:50
:)
OMG I want everything.
Although, I wish I could dress my male Roe up as Lightning.
Pretty disappointing, SE.
I thought it looked great until I noticed:Chapter 1: For the Winsome, Required Level: 12 or aboveOnly one of my three characters will be able to do Chapter 2, and none of them will be able to do Chapters 3 or 4. Special events are like festivals — everyone should be able to take part. And in any case, these are rewarding level 13 gear. Why are only level 45 characters eligible for it?
Chapter 2: Seeking the Scoop, Required Level: 26 or above
Chapter 3: The Knight's Passage, Required Level: 38 or above
Chapter 4: Wonder and Lightning, Required Level: 45 or above
They plan on repeating the event in February. Also... could just get cracking on leveling.
Question is can you do the quests over again? Like say your main class is Warrior and you do the quests but in my case i am working all classes so would also like the BM weapon
You get the quest then go do the FATE. The FATE that had Lightning may not spawn Lightning again the next time around.
Upon getting gold you get 2 Parcels, this works like the Bomb Ash meaning you never need to even get the quest.
To turn in the quest you need to give 1 Parcel away, and next to the quest giver is an NPC that sells each of the weapons for 1 parcel.
You can then go back and farm more parcels and get each weapon for every class.
You do not need to do the level 45+ quests on a MNK to get the MNK weapon, for example.
The quests are for the armor that you get, which can be worn by any class. So as long as you have one class over level 45, you'll be fine.
It means you wont be able to get the following pieces of Lightning or Snow's outfit. For the level 15 one we have gloves so far. (Weapons are already accessible and will most likely be acquirable throughout the other ones as well.)
So yes you will miss out on everything else unless you begin leveling, however as stated on the news page which most people don't seem to read;
People in game keep shouting "WERE I GET QUEST I CANT FIND"... I can understand not knowing where the FATE is but blah!Quote:
* This event is scheduled to make a return in February 2014 for the North American and European release of Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII.
So yeah you'll miss this time around but you have until February to get to 45+
Thank you so much CalvatE ;w;...I will just try my best to be ready next time it comes then.
You also have until Dec6 to get a class to 45. I already got them all to 30, so I just picked one and am FATE grinding it to 45 for this (which I hate doing)
So, it's weapons from the FATE, with all of them aquirable from basically any level (so long as you can productively take part in the FATE), then the clothing set from the four quests, starting with the gloves for chapter 1 (available at level 12), then additional peices for chapters 2, 3, and 4 at levels 26, 38, and 45. (We can probably assume the coat, as the clearly nicest piece of both clothing sets, will be the level 45 quest.) Do I have that right?
I was under the understanding that if you want all weapons for each class then they would need to all be up to lvl 45 to get all the content
I could be wrong, if it is the case then all i want is for my PLD (7 levels to go) and want to work up black mage to get that awesome staff
Most likely the weapons may only be on the final quest. I hope more inventory slots are made available for all these :)
The weapons can all be done with the 1st quest, rather with the fate where Lightning appears in Middle and Western La Noscea. All you need is to collect the "Otherwordly Parcel" that you receive as a reward, and trade them in for the weapon of choice. There are no other requirements.
It is the costume that probably requires all the quests to be done to acquire all the pieces.
When you've finished the quest you can still go back and do the same Lightning FATE's and you'll receive 2 Otherworldy parcels.
So you can get every FFXIII weapon before the next quest chain even starts.
If you were around for the Summer Bomb event, remember doing those all the time and how you then wound up with like 999 Wet Bombard ash? Same thing applies for Lightning FATE, except with Otherworldy Parcels. You can stack them to 99 if you wanted to stick around to do them.
You don't need to even start the quest to receive Otherworldy parcels because the reward is tied to the FATE itself.
