Which AF2 piece do I go for first as a dragoon?

I already upgraded my relic to +1.

Now looking to what piece i'm going to buy next.

If you're raiding gets boots first. If not, then its up to you.

Boots if you are serious.

Just look what gives you the largest boost per tome, stat-wise. The comment about coil loot is something to consider as well.

I would get chest piece first, than helm or boots.

Chest,Boots,Belt,Choker,Ring the rest u'll need from coil to have the best balance set for drg atm in game

If you are doing coil chest will drop in Turn 1 so you can hold off on that for later. Boots are a good first pick.

Gae Bolg +1, Wyrm Mail, Hero's Belt of Maiming and Hero's Necklace of Slaying are best in slot pieces.

If you don't plan on leveling and using other classes, then feel free to use your mythology on other slots until you get the Allagan pieces to replace them.

go for legs best choice if it's not the body piece.

If your doing Coils buy the Body 1st cause DRG gear drops like crazy so you'll be geared in a week ^^

Why would you buy the chest then? Afaik the chest drops in turn 1.

The chest is the best in slot for us.. Yeah the chest drps in T1 (i havent seen it in 5 weeks..) but its not nearly as good as the one from myth tomes. Next i'd get boots, thats twintania drops.

Start Boots or helm, then move to belt, or if u like the chest, do that.

Yeah so far I got the chest.

So get the boot/helm next, then move to belt?

So after that is it just the allaghan pieces that are the best combo?

Even if you're doing coil, it is hard to count on getting the random loot to gear up with. Check the Drg rotation reborn for current best in slots, it is VERY myth heavy now. Use that as your guideline if you're starting/doing coil and extreme primals. If you are doing neither of those, then buy up all the myth you can get your hands on.

if i were you i'd try score my BiS maybe? if you're more interested in immediate gain then get helm rather than boots. Try to avoid the accessories hoping that the monk ones will tide you over until you finish the rest of your set.
we are very heavy into allagan gear currently. hope you have good luck

Don't get the head, you really shouldn't need the accuracy. You're better off getting the feet and holding out for the Allagan head, the crit will benefit you a lot more.

I got the chest first personally, and then belt/accessories, boots, pants. since the old BiS were mostly allagan drops. (visor, etc). But now it's mostly myth. I have 470 accuracy and about 490-ish crit with the pants, but if i use old DL pants i get 479 acc and 467ish crit.

So ... yeah. Try to punch in the numbers yourself. You can't get all at once so it's best if you slowly work out what item you want next.

Yes, that's the ones you should look for. Taking availability into account (if you're doing Coils) the first to get should be boots (T5 drop) and helm (T4 drop), so the parts you won't get a placeholder before long. Taking the chest first give you the look but Allegan's armor is a turn 1 drop, so you may end with temporary loosing stats.

One thing to consider : aim for armor pieces before jewelry. The dps gain per Myth is more or less the same but armor pieces add defense and vitality, that's a big difference. When gearing into DL I choose to take all the jewelry first as it was a much better improvement for my DPS. I understood my error when entering Titan Brutal, every non dodged event was a one shot. Not like you're supposed to get hit, but having the chance to survive when you fail makes a big difference, moreover when you're just learning the fight and you WILL get hit. Now I always take the armor pieces first (left side of inventory) and then i check for jewelry.

I went +1, Body, Helm, Feet, Gloves (they just won't drop) and Ring. Everything else is Allagan right now for me. May buy the Belt or Neck, but it really depends on if I get any drops this week out of Coil (Head especially, since I'm 20 points over the Accuracy cap; want the Head and Maiming Neck primarily right now, and if I can get the Gloves great).

i always go for the most expensive first. because waiting sucks. the only thing was i had to keep in mind that accuracy would always have to be around a certain number since I was on coil. so for me it was +1 (when cap was 300), myth chest, myth feet, myth gloves, then head last. I got allagan pants. so after i replace all the jewelry, I will most likely get the wyrm legs just to have.
