Luminary Tools Bugged?

I worked hard for 3 weeks to get my achievement "A Life of Cooking" to get my "The Pan of the Luminary". I finally got it and it's a total disappointment.

Where's my Stove that I had with my lvl 50 quest reward Pan?
It's not just culinarians that lost their stoves with their Pan of the Luminary. My friend who's a goldsmith with his little golden hammer lost it as well.

WoW SE messed that up.. let me just add that the weaver tool is a complete let down aswell.. cooks get a stove carpenters get a HUGE saw leatherworkers a tabel.. and weavers get.. a wooden thing..

SE plz fix the luminary issue thats a hard achevement to get and to be let down is a crime!!

The tools have been this way since 1.0

The work benches (or stove in this case) are the same ones as in 1.0 while the Luminaries retain the same stats as the new lv50 crafter tools. It is a bit disappointing I guess :/ I've total of 4 Luminaries which I keep stored in my armoire for that reason. Hopefully they'll change the craft benches for them to the new ones at some point.

Personally I think the Lumianries should have better stats.
Issue of scrubby bench will be solved.

Simple matter of outdated gear design, in the future hopefully they update it.

Just add it to the list of DoH/L disappointments.

wow. Sorry I sound so down about it but I just expected more from DoH/L classes. DoW/M has tons of cool missions/gear/etc and DoL/H has jack squat in comparison. And to make it worse one of the few things DoL/H has (Luminary tools) isn't even worth getting!

I still kinda want the fishing rod.

Too bad there's absolutely nothing of value whatsoever to fish up.

The luminary tools are lame styles compared to the Uniques.

Maybe with a level or gear increase they could give us the ability to combine the Unique and the Luminary to create a Gilded +1 version of the unique tool because there's no way in hell I'm trading my massive saw for that chinsy gold miter saw.

They could call the quest, "A Luminary Reborn"

Or they could make the Luminary items power tools. Culinarians get a flame-thrower!

Yeah it's retarded. You get the same basic table/stove/whatever as a lvl 1 tool, whereas the quest tool gives a nice fancy one.

it's just a way to get the tools from 1.0

they're exactly the same as they weer before and the new tools pretty much outshine them in every way.
But people would be all upset if they were legacy only so put them in

even if they don't look amazing they are still gold and somewhat of a prestige item

Amount of effort not equal to reward.

Please fix.

They should change Luminary tools for secondary tools. that way we could have purple secondary tools too and would be worth to do the achievement.

But secondary militia tools already have the same stats as the lv50 quest primarys, and on top of that, are meld-able.

Even in 1.0 luminary tool was not the best tool
The best tool was always crafted tool with materia in it.

I think the bigger disappointment was when they added achievements to 1.0 and those of us who were already level 50 in crafts started over with a 0 count towards the luminary's :( Sorta ruined any desire to get em. Then 2.0 comes and they give us some great tools just for completing the class quests a second time. Whole thing never felt right.

50 culinarian here and i was really looking forward to the luminary. And then i took a screenshot to the knee.. Seriously ty for posting this so i can give up this need for it . :(
A real shame though.

As I am sure has already been said; this is leftover fr4om 1.0. Your quest tools actually replace these as they are the same stats. This was just a grind for 1.0 people. It's now just an achievement thing.

I'm hoping vanity item slot would fix the issue... using golden pan as skin but still retain the crafting bench of the 50 class weapon.

funny, i thought the luminary tool's special thing was they grew to giant size when you were using them.
