So, uh, about those Behemoth/Odin FATEs...

so you're telling me we have to wait until patch 2.1 for an "EMERGENCY" patch to fix a critical problem in the game's graphic engine that literally makes the game unplayable?

and by the way, their planned solution will still prioritize other players and their minion over your own party. so you'll be able to see the boss but unable to heal or even ressurect your teammatches.

So when's this magical fix coming?

Unplayable game for a few minutes (servers crash while those FATE events are up) VS RMT doing economic hell in the long run. Hmmm.... Crash my server any time.

Joke aside, as annoying as those FATEs are, I'll gladly accept them in the state they are as a lesser evil.

Rendering glitches have pretty low priority compared to, oh i dunno, 3rd party back doors into the games code to manipulate player item data and transactions... I have attempted Odin and Behemoth fates, nothing special, too many damn people. I'm not even overly concerned about it.

Clearly people fighting a mob that rewards vanity gear should be rated up there with people siphoning gil off of anyone that wanders near a market board as far as how fast things should be fixed.

Seems legit.

The rendering issue for enemies is a problem for all popular fates during primetime for ps3 users, not that ps3 users matter or anything. This is a huge issue and i'm not sure why the fix has not been done by now. It's not even just the fates, party members just randomly disappearing when standing right beside you but allowing randoms to load and take their place. This prioritizing system they have for stuff to load is really bad. I have no idea what person would think this is acceptable, let alone have it pass Q&A. I don't recall this issue with many of the older MMO's i've played, which all were on a console.

Have you not noticed that a lot of the fans of this game are brainwashed like in a cult and will deny there is anything wrong with the game at all ever? They will deny there is any lag or display issues or net coding problems till their private parts fall off.

WoW crashed aloooooooooooooot more and had alot more buggs and exploits ........... there were alot of other "Stuff" that was fucked up and people said WoW was the best launch ever... hahha nono come again smarty pants ......... NOOOOOOOO mmorpg in the world was 100% buggfree and it took time to fix IN ANY mmorpg ....... if u got proof that there is one then link it and i will glady check it out and prove you wrong

They already explained this wasn't just a performance limitation, but a 'latency reduction' countermeasure.

100 people attacking Odin vs. 1,000 is a HUGE difference in the over-all latency in computing the RNG generations for combat back and forth.


This 'simple' fix would allow more people to attack Odin, and would essentially grind the server to a halt as it tries to keep up with the calculations leading to its inevitable crash.
