Unable to connect to Duty Finder server. Please try again later.

I was attempting to do a Chimera run to begin my third relic reborn quest when my group encountered an error in which they could not enter. The screen becomes black and instead of sucking us into the encounter after about 30 seconds we get the error "Unable to connect to Duty Finder server. Please try again later."

Our group all tried relogging, then we tried disbanding and relogging, then we tried disbanding and completely reopening the client. All of these failed. Then we all tried to enter one by one to see who the issue was. I was the issue.

I have tried rebooting my computer, reopening my client, power cycling my router (even removed coaxle to refresh connection to my isp). I believe I have done everything in my power to fix the problem. Hopefully you can resolve this issue for me, as I am unable to use the duty finder and therefore unable to play this game with my friends which is why i have this game. Please help me.

I have this problem too. Server Cactuar, char Caucel Wiedii. I have 8 hours without access to DF.

Yesterday i played fine.
Today i logged in tried to enter coil but keep getting the unable to connect Duty server error.

We all tried to relog and stuff but still had the same error then we disbanded and tried to join other stuff with duty finder and everyone could get in but me.

At the moment I'm unable to join anything.
Everytime i try to join coil or whatever i get the: "Unable to connect to Duty Finder server. Please try again later." error.
This happens with any instance low or high level..

This error only happens on my character called Rach Penny on the balmung server, my other character Pompey Dan on the same server can get into duty finder just fine.

Really annoying because I still need to cap mythology for this week.

We just spent 1h in front of the Coil of Bahamut entrance with misleading error messages because of this, in the end we figured out it was just ONE member who had exactly this error.

Other parties around the Coil entrance were complaining too.

Some parties managed to get in by replacing the affected people, but having those affected locked out sucks.

Happened to a friend of mine. This should get investigate, a new issue after you fix market board.

Same here. Been having this problem for about 10 hours now. You can't even make you're own group and zone into the instance without using the duty finder. Being a fresh 50, there is literally nothing for me to do on the game.

Has anyone heard that they're working on this? Its pretty frustrating.

Been having the same problem myself as well. can't seem to get an answer from anyone anywhere. Still waiting for a reply from square enix about the matter too.

getting kinda ridiculous that no one from there has even bothered to put a reply in here to say they know and are working on it

Tried queueing for a NM Titan, 3/4 accepted, one withdrew (not intentionally), then it said reserving instance for a few minutes until I cancelled it. After all that, I can not start a queue, it errors me out immediately.

reboot pc, box, relog are not fixed it.
I can't do any instance since today.

I bet everyone in japan is asleep. Does anyone know when they wake up and fix things?

Having the same issue with my character on Ultros. Had to call off the coil group we were planning on doing tonight since I couldn't get in, no matter what I did.

Pretty much the same error as everyone else is describing. Tried to enter the binding coil of Bahamut after last nights maintenance, but kept getting the message "Unable to connect to Duty Finder server. Please try again later.".

Also tried Queuing for other activities through the duty finder register (The Howling Eye, The Navel, Amdapor Keep etc.), but the same error occurs. Attempts to fix this included -

- /logout
- /shutdown
- /shutdown + computer restart
- /shutdown + computer restart + internet reset
- Area change + /shutdown
- Retiring to an Inn room + /shutdown

The error is also still persisting after a 10-hour no-play period.

Bug report was submitted in-game after all attempts failed.

My FC Cannot enter Coil, or Titan.

Server: Balmung.

I tried to do Titan with my FC tonight and got this error. And now I also get the error when queuing for the Duty Finder.

Same issue. When I try to queue up, I get the error message "unable to connect to duty finder server" and my friends all get the prompt to enter the instance while I don't. I've heard that some people have had to reinstall their entire game from scratch to fix this, and they all ended up losing all in-game settings including gear sets, hotbar and targeting settings. Can we get an official response please?

On a side note, not sure if it's related but earlier in the day I was getting the message "unable to process command while waiting on duty finder" or some such when I tried to do mining leves while waiting on the duty finder. At that time, which was earlier in the day, I was in queue as tank for 30 minutes.

Same. Misa Ravensoul on Hyperion. My group and FC can do it, but I can't.

Yeah, same problem here. Could play at Thursday just fine but came back form work yesterday and couldn't participate in any duty because of "Unable to connect to Duty Finder server. Please try again later." error. I hope I will be able to cap Tomestones this week...

It's been happening for me since yesterday, but it only affects 1 of my characters. (Rahab White on Lich world)

It's been happening to me too since 10:45 yesterday morning while I was in a party for the Hydra fight.

It's pretty upsetting you can't even do any duty finder missions without it suddenly giving out on you.

I was really looking forward to finally getting past the darn Hydra too. :(
