Is it not worth getting the AF armor from level 45 quest?

I never see anyone running around in the white mage AF level 45 gear, is it bad or something?

Its the best you can get before 50. It can take some time to acquire better gear through AK or WP, or earning tomes. And since it's quest reward gear, why not?

You need it for WP which is the entry level 50 dungeon; however, after the many runs in there you will replace the 45 gear pretty fast depending on how many wandering palaces you do a day. Then you will replace that with DL gear. It's stepping stones. So yes - you need it otherwise you will burden your group.

Why wouldn't you get it? It's practically given to you and is the best you can wear before 50.

The reason you don't see a lot of people using it is because they've been 50 for a long time and have moved onto stuff like Strategos and Darklight. Plus, aside from the robe, White Mage AF gear is practically invisible... it's like people forgot to put pants on that day.

It's even worse if you have the weird swimsuit top from Darkhold. =/

It's quite LITERALLY given to you, in fact.

First off, you need to do your job quests to get your relic for that job. You get AF gear for doing those. So use 'em til ya get something better.

Just learning Holy is worth the humiliation of battle panties/boxers. :p

WP gear is freakin terrible for WHM's in my opinin anyway. it has Accuracy on it, unless I don't understand how accuracy helps our healing...garbage.

The helm can be useful actually, I use it on my sch in lieu of strategos (granted sch stat priorities are a little different). It's kind of like a poor/lazy man's vanya helm.

I recently leveled SCH up to 50 via Fates. I stopped at 45 to pick up my set of pre-50 AF gear, as those are the best body pieces available for your level; they really can't be beat.

WHM is my main, so when I hit 50, I swapped all existing gear for my Darklight and Allagan pieces. I still got the 50 body armor because it's part of the lv50 job quest to wrap up my class skills. I put all my SCH armor into my Armoire, but I took some pictures first. :)

Free ilvl 50 gear @ lvl 45 nuff said.

Think of warlock gear like a bowl of pb&j that you are mixing. ilvl 55 gear for dd/heal casters. It isn't the best, but stat wise it can replace all ur blue ilvl 50 gear from your quest.
