I dont understand that after 2 months of gameplay we still have some major lag problems with the game.
They have?
Because "recognized lag" is past tense. Meaning it was something "Recognized" 3 months ago.
SE is perfect japanese company, they dont make mistakes and they certainly are not lazy.
Have you tried zooming you camera angle out?
Just because they have not said anything, does not mean they do not know about it. There is no point in saying anything when for the most part, all it would be is "we are currently trying to fix it, but nothing yet"
Didn't you hear? Try zooming out your camera, apparantly thats why everyone is having problems.
Maybe it is too late to change.
The lag is built into the game and is not easy to fix. However there hasn't even been any indication that they're willing to put some bandaids which is truly disturbing. You shouldn't try to make a game focused around dodging stuff in a split second when your client can lag for up to a second on a regular basis.
I'm not sure why they won't acknowledge it really. They'd rather insult us and say that whenever we die from lag it's actually because we're too stupid to zoom the camera out. I'm not saying every death on fights that seem to be affected by these issues (Titan >.>) are lag related, but some definitely are.
I think most of us have had this problem at some point or another so I actually would prefer them to say something acknowledging it, even if they cannot fix it yet. I'd rather that then just blaming us for being bad players who don't know how to play.
Because they already invested too many funds importing models and textures straight off from FF11, 12 and 13 to remake their whole broken netcode into something that's actually up to real global standards, and also their fanbase keeps telling them everything is perfect.
They're also my favorite company, I love Japan, period.
Just zoom camera all the way out and you will have no lag problems. Please look forward to it!
I think they know that it'd take an immense investment/effort on their part to fix it and they simply have no intention of fixing it. The moment they admit that there is a problem with position tracking, and that What You See IS NOT What You Get they will be expected to take action on the problem. As a result you have the current state of affairs: They either ignore it and hope people will just forget about it or they claim its working as intended and that we just need to play better.
You know what other games have lag? Cartridge based games when too much stuff is on the screen at once.
You know what there is too much of in this game (based on the majority of feedback concerning lag issues)? Level 50 players in level 50 fates and instances.
This can be seen two ways: It's the players fault that they decide to play in a high stress/high congestion area (which would cause lag even if you were offline), or it's not the players fault because everyone will eventually get to these areas at some point and this is inevitable. Nevertheless, what can SE do from a technological standpoint to remedy the situation? Throw money at the servers? Create new technology? Talk to their hardware in a soothing voice?
I can honestly say it may be the players prerogative to endure these high stress areas and the lag issues related to them, because I have a modest internet connection, but have encountered almost no lag. Why? Because I play at odd hours when the least people are online, and I'm not playing in the level 50 zones.
I'm just saying that the exact same thing happened on NES games, but nobody complained about the servers then. I wonder why....? Maybe people should play outside prime time or do something other than dungeons/fates.

I don't think you actually understand the issue, probably because you're not 50 doing end game content. Where is the graphical lag coming from when doing Titan HM with 7 other people and your FPS is a steady 90? That is what most people are complaining about.
There's nothing SE can do about the lag unless you want them to build a server in every country and there are around 197 in the world
I'm just saying I don't see the problem in under-50 zones. Whether there's a connection or not, I won't comment further. I had a feeling this wouldn't turn out well XD
People are really being idiots with the whole "zoom out on Titan and you won't die from lag thing". If you actually bothered to read the statement in context instead of spouting bile you'd understand that they weren't talking about lag.
Same stupid crap when they gave their explanation of why they wouldn't use JP spell names. You had morons saying that SE was calling western gamers stupid.
The lag problem is consistent 1-50, but you don't notice it as much when a missed AE doesn't result in your immediate death. Titan HM just happens to be the first major encounter where you have a slew of near instant kill abilities with unforgiving timers. The same mechanism that causes you to eat a Landslide is the same one that causes you to get hit by an Overpower on a trash mob. The only difference is that you get a lot more time to get out of an Overpower, and even if it hits you, you obviously don't die to that in one hit.
Because they don't have the expertise to fix it.

Stop denying that there's an issue.
It's not just titan lag. You get the same crud in AK. Try having 0 latency to maybe 20 and a ping time of less than 15 most of the time and still on the wall get a huge lag spike that freezes everyone up and then you fall off and die. Why can't it lag before the boss? lmao Programed on purpose to lag? maybe? I am doing due diligence weekly on my internet connection and having Comcast earn their paychecks and still don't see why this can't be addressed more closely server side. I'm not calling the internet perfect but I sure don't have a 300 to 500 ms ping either. 15 to maybe 30 on a bad day and Im near Chicago so it's not next door. Peak times don't matter I can get it any time during the same 24 hour period. It's random and weird. Not something you can set your watch by. If I had packet loss, or higher ping times, or something that said hey it's me I'd bite. But I do not.

Because of this, I'm grateful for the GCD.
