I was playing with a party member near Quarrymill and i was trying to hunt the Goblin Thugs, well for some reason suddenly i was not allowed by the game to use that class and none of my skills worked at all.
no reason given, no idea why. had to log out of the game completely and then come back in and finally was able to use them normally but it was very strange. And frustrating.
any one ever have this before? didnt want to post it as a bug until i asked here.
they were doing the emergency maintenance tonight and my party member had trouble using the warping.... teleport...so maybe there were bugs happening in the game? any ideas?

Sounds like the maintenance might have interfered. So far I had never any problems changing classes :)

I have had issues with gear sets not equipping if I have removed something from the armoury chest but never not being able to use a class for no reason. That is an odd glitch.

I mean items are not listed as being part of a set for instance. So it's very easy to sell/store an item somewhere without realizing it belongs to a set. And making that set unequipable.Quote:

To the OP: That sounds like a bug to me, since it resolved itself upon re-logging. If you do submit a bug report, try to include as much detail as possible. E.g. which class, which abilities you tried to use, if you had changed classes or it just started not working, what actions you had done right before it stopped working, etc. -

Did you just finish a battle and we're trying to change classes before the server had fully registered the battle as complete? Naturally you can't switch classes while in combat so it's possible there might have been a bit of lag between your client and the server which resulted in the server still believing you were in battle for a few seconds more when in fact it had finished.
This happens to me all the time, particularly after just finishing a FATE, as I find other functions are often locked when in battle and don't always update straight away (such as being able to ride a mount). All you can really do is just wait a little bit for the server to 'catch up' and try again. -

Even something like a number in the lower right section of the items icon indicating set number would be a huge advantage. At least that way you would know that item did belong to a given set.Quote:

A number of the set wouldn't work, as some items will be part of multiple sets. (Consider an accessory that boosts craftsmanship, for instance. If your crafting classes are near enough the same level to all use it, it's likely to be part of eight different gear sets, one for each crafting class.) I would, however, very much like to see them add some mark on the gear's icon indicating that it's part of a set. Eventually i was able to fight gain and we downed the goblins. No idea why this happened.
and Reiterpallasch thanks for posting but i have you on my ignore list sadly as you were very mean to me about asking for advice on Party chat and said you thought i was just another higher level player who only did FATES ...when i had worked very hard doing everything and had only been shy about asking about that. Every one successfully equipped, just with unexpected sexiness and a warning. I also had this happen with pants, wrists, and gloves just this weekend. If the neck slot is a problem, it's an exception, not the rule.Quote:
