Small tip for dealing with undercuttiers(weapons/armor)

While one can't guarantee people will not undercut prices you can still do something to help you.
Before buying items such as gear and armor, you can check the signature of the crafter in the lower section of the screen, one could ask that crafter if the retainer is his/hers,
when it is not it is the result of either RMT or legit players undercut.
Undercut is not a problem unless prices get too low down to a ridiculous price.

So if we craft the same item,same quality and you put yours up for sale at a price of $5000...what your saying is...you DO NOT want me or anyone else for that matter to sell my/their items for less or even at all?.

Not me. I haven't set foot in a walmart in almost 10 years and often will not buy a product, esp something pet-related, if it is manufactured in china.

On this note however if you have an item listed at 4999 and there are 5 above it selling at 5000 I make it a point not to buy the 4999, I can afford 1 extra gil

As a buyer, I love undercutters and here is why. For just about every weapon/armour crafters can make, there is an npc vender out in the world selling those very same items. ((Of course endgame, raid quality weapons/armour and artefact armour are exempt.))

If an npc vender is selling a sword for 2500 gil, why would I buy that exact sword from a crafter for 4000 gil? I wouldn't and neither would any of you. Undercutters working the market would bring that sword down to about 1700-1900 gil making it a better value than the npc vender and the crafters trying to price gouge.

No that is not what I meant. I meant the fact of undercutting to even you not making profit and do it for like 20 pieces at once.

Like people selling "only gathering items" to 1 gil, when the npc gives you 10 XD, its stupid.

NPCS don't sell HQ gear. I for one never put NQ Garbage up on the AH.
