How do you play?

Just curious of how people play the game, Keyboard/Mouse/Controller?

Explain you setup =D

keyboard and mouse. shooter style using wasd.... Wish i could change alot of setting like Enter (accept) key to q or e though =p

I assigned Q and E due to retarded targeting:

Q = Targeting Nearest NPC

E = Targeting Nearest PC

still have to take your hand off the mouse to press the enter key though lol

Naked, and with ample supplies of hair spray.

A d3mon ps3 controller, that really old one, i just can't get into using the mouse and keyboard. For me pushing sticks is more comfortable then pressing keys :)

PS3 controller, keep the keyboard close for typing

I tried making the transition to a PS3 controller and hated it.

I use controller for everything, then got the keyboard right in front of me for chatting.

keyboard and mouse, nothing like having everything at each fingertip at once.

I just find it easier.

UI is horribly designed for a mouse and the controller I feel it just takes me too long to do actions.


Right hand controls all movement and scrolling

Left Hand controls all macros, camera, actions, and menu buttons

Keyboard and mouse, it's what I did in XI since NA PC release and i'm just so used to it, I could never use controller.

I play it with my computer's sexy specs, a 1080p 40" Sony Bravia LCD HDTV, Fraps, MSN Messenger, Skype, and as well two naked Miqo'tes on the side for servitude.

Controller for now. If they ever get around to fixing response times and character movement, I would go back to mouse and keyboard.

PlayStation 3 controller for me.

Controller for most things, like movement and menu options. I like having the keyboard for chat (duh) and executing keybinds/macros.

Logitech Rumblepad F510. F*cking Awesome! (though I should receive the FFXIV controller soon)

I've been conditioned by City of Heroes, Warhammer and WoW. XIV's keyboard+mouse response time is nothing like any of those, which is why I have a hard time using them in this game.

To clarify, I sense a strange extra delay when inputting stuff on the keyboard. I find it easier to work around that with a controller than the mouse and keyboard.

X360 pad plus a kb for chatting

Keyboard only on a gateway FX 7805u laptop with a cooling pad under it, 2 big arse speakers and a sub connected to it that blasts constant live streams from ChroniX internet radio.

Ps2 controller here. Surely I can't be the only one? I've been conditioned from ffxi and know not how to move with keyboard+mouse.

My girlfriend and I both prefer 360 controller over the horrid keyboard controls.

keyboard, keyboard + mouse and gamepad (xbox afterglow). Most the time i use gamepad though. Depends on what i feel like doing.

No you're not, I use PS2 controller too ;)
But i do use keyboard and mouse too, so it's combination of all 3 :rolleyes:

Had been using a 360 controller for awhile but switched to a PS3 controller because it doesn't have a crappy dpad

XBox 360 controller... Now if I could only figure out how to keep from having to relog everytime it turns off.

Keyboard and mouse, please SE let people with a gamemouse be able to assign stuff to the extra buttons we have... Atm all that's assigned to it is Ventrilos push to talk lol.

Keyboard only. I do wish I could customize the arrow keys though.

My previous controller died on me one night so I tried playing on keyboard. It just felt "wrong". I stayed in town & ran some local leves and just doing that was annoying. Constantly looking up the controls on lodestone.
