Save the Moogle! A Ransom Note.

Dear *%^$%#,

A cute Moogle by the name of ^&$%##$ is being held captive in Mor Dhona. A small group of players is responsible for his capture, and willing to see to his release, but they have made some requests. Please hurry, their supply of kupo nuts is thin.

1) One player, we'll call him Baghozi, says that the facing requirements need be changed. He appreciates how when casting an offensive spell he will face his target. However, he found himself burned by fire when trying to heal one day because while healing while running away, he turned to his faithful tank and landed in a vat of red death. He says auto-face should only be applied to hostile targets, and that healing targets should not interfere with his running.

2) Another healer, named Shilanka Daderp, says her allies keep dying because she can't discriminate dispellable debuffs from the myriad other buff/debuff icons on UI name plates. She says that when she tries to read the icons as they pop up, she dies. She requests that the UI becomes modifiable so that she can easily see when she needs to recast renew or dispel a problematic debuff.

3) Another request is made by one Iam Nearsighted. He asks that camera zoom be open for modification to allow for greater distances. As it stands, Iam says he is having trouble seeing all of the things he needs to see because the camera is too close to him. While he loves admiring himself with all of the various closeups, he says utility is far more important, and that he can stare at himself all day long anywhere he likes, but that he should like to see everything else when adventuring.

4) Finally, the last dema--err request--comes from Bartholowmew Bean. He says that when adventuring in parties of 8 or more, he needs to keep his tanks and healers together for healing purposes. He would love to see some customization of the UI plates for this purpose. He says he's considered getting some mods from a website, but that he knows a friend who is friends with a friend who was told by the uncle of the daughter of a friend's grandfather's great grandson's friends friend that sometimes those sites give your login information to vile creatures called gold spammers. He'd rather not find out that he'd been standing in Limsa Lominsa, naked, and asking people to buy gil.

So... there you have it. A few humble requests from some barbarian players who have a moogle holed up at some unknown location. The moogle is exhausted from being pinched and petted and tickled, and his food stores are short in supply. Please save the moogle.

While I wouldn't consider a lot of the things you listed as "top priority".. I love how you presented them and agree they are features I would like to see included at some point. So, thumbs up for making me smile.

are we talking about party lists here? if so go into social lists > party and - mouse: drag the names to where you want them on the list - gamepad: press A/X move the names up or down and then press B/O

Can maybe help on that one and buy the moogle a few more days :p

On PS3 try holding L1 and pulling back on R3 to zoom out, R3 forward to zoom in. Think thats the camera control lol.
Not sure about PC controls :/

He scrolls out with mouse wheel, but it hardly zooms very far. They said that they will try to find more kupo nuts because people are trying to think of existing solutions. So, there is that :)

Also, you do make some valid points too. ^^

For the zooming out issue I am able to zoom out very far in Primals and such. Make sure your 'camera' is not hitting a wall or other barrier.

really? I can practically make myself a speck... however if you are up against a wall (visible or otherwise) it'll limit how far you can zoom. also angle helps... if you're trying to zoom straight back it doesn't look that far, but if you angle to almost top down ( which I find the most helpful in Primals and Dungeons) I have yet to encounter an instance where I can't see the whole play field

The problem is that if you do find yourself bumping the camera into a wall/pillar it zooms all the way in... and doesn't zoom back out once you've cleared it :/

weird, that has never happened to me, (The not zooming back out bit)

i get that all the time and have to rezoom it back out while trying to keep up the attack on targets

I made a brave attempt to extract the moogle, but as I approached the terrorists with my blade drawn and hit TAB to start my assault, all I could do was cycle through the fifteen Nyx toads by the horizon and before I knew it, I was gutted and left in chains. If you're reading this, please save me too.

The shape of status effects tells you if it is a buff or debuff, buffs shape has a pointing up shape, while debuffs point down

Can't this just be disabled in the options?

I'm surprised that there's been no demand from Noredgreen Dead. I over heard this vile ruffian in the back streets of Ul'dah attempting to start a riot over his repeated deaths caused by his inability to see the brown circles on the brown ground during ifrit/Titan HM.

Please give in to their demands before that poor moogle perishes?

It disables autoface completely. As healing doesn't require facing (nor should it), this option isn't best suited for Baghozi's request.

Hm. I actually like the dema--... ahem... requests of this one Bartholowmew Bean fellow. As a healer, I rather like it when some magical twist of fate puts my tanks at the bottom or top of the list right under one another and my healing buddy right under them. It helps keeps things nice and organized.

Though it's clunky (manual), one guy here said go to Social --> Party --> Click on the name of the person and then the up arrow. Works fine, so long as they give you time lol.

I want some sort of confirmation the moogle is still alive. It's been almost 24 hours and we haven't heard a thing.

The one thing irritating about the camera being zoomed it, when your against the wall, is like someone said, how it doesn't zoom back out. But my other issue that I have, and idk if anyone else does. Is when I'm using controller on the PC, for some reason, I'm having to zoom in, before I can zoom out with my controller. Its really unusual, and irritating.

I hold the proper controls and everything, and push down to zoom out and it does nothing, but i immediately push up, and then down, and it therefor zooms in, then it zooms out to where i need it.
