COIL LOOT BUG/PROBLEM!

How is that a bug? Sounds like he conned you out of the drop.

Thought it was known you wait til you get the shit before leaving an area as you know it's still in the chest technically not in your armory.

Why the hell would u leave before u get the loot??? Sounds like its a hard lesson learned. That's not a bug that's how it's always been... Maybe next time actually check before u head out of the instance based on what someone else says lol...

Well apparently you don't see the loot in your armory until you leave the instance, which is a bug/not normal procedure, and which caused this misinterpretation/miscommunication and which lead us to believe that it'd show up in our armory when we left the instance...

There is like little waiting zones in between turns if you leave turn 1 and go to the waiting area you are out of turn 1. If some guy is afk and doesn't roll and everyone else leaves the loot just defaults to him.

Just to clarify this further, this transit zone isn't instanced which is why you often see other groups in here, the coil turns are.

The real question here is why would you even think of exiting the zone before everyone finishes rolling on the items and there is visible notification in the chat that it got distributed?

Let me get this straight: the guy is "afk" when it comes to rolling, but he is not when it comes to say "you go ahead guys loot will appear when you leave the area, i'll just stand there and look at the birds for a while".

Then you leave the area.

Then you come complain on the forum for a bug.

Seems to me like the source of your problem is the interface between your chair and your keyboard.

The huge wall of text about Coil mentions you get the loot after you leave the instance, so it's working as intended. The fact that leaving before loot is distributed drops you out of it is also working as intended, the 'afk' guy simply exploited human stupidity.

Don't you always forfeit loot when you leave the instance before everyone has rolled, in every instance in the game?

Pretty sure this isn't even true. I recall trying on my gear drops before exiting the turn. Everyone has to roll (or pass) before the loot is distributed and the message will pop saying "loot x goes to player y". It's definitely not in your inventory until that message shows up and that's how loot rolls have worked for every other dungeon and primal in the entire game up to that point. Coil isn't different.

its not bug. Its just your own fault leaving.

I tend to encounter more real bugs. Like Yesterday when I was on gld and couldn't lot need on the helmet I needed even though it said, gld, mrd, lnc, and the party consisted of me, an archer, a whitemage, an arcanist.

I should have just waited longer and checked if it changed back to the real options I guess. I know on Arcanist I've often gotten need choices on tank gear instead but that tends to change after a while. (Wouldn't be surprised if the game thinks Arcanist is the actual tank in some cases)

Def a "ID10T" error. Alert the Devs!

You got conned it's not a bug. When everyone rolls/loot timer runs out it goes straight into your inventory and you immediately see it.

How did 7 people, who made it to coil, actually believe the guy when he said you have to leave to get loot?
And how did any of them believe it was a bug?

I just...I can't comprehend people like this exist.

Much like the teleport in AK where you go from level to level, we assumed you could go to level/turn 2 from level 1 and the loot would remain.

is ok. 1st time in coil something like this might happen. but that person really con u. and how coem some1 can afk straighta fter boss fight. seems fishy. but yea loot goes into inventory/armory straight after u all roll on it. b4 u exit.

Ya bro you got conned sorry to say but once everyone roll or pass it would go to your Armoury. Soon i got my BLM head item in turn one i put it on and went into turn 2. Listen learn now move on and don't let that happen again :)
