Kefka's Tower (12 man endgame dungeon) *SPOILERS*

Idea: SE is interested in using nostalgic content for XIV (Crystal Tower) and they have already dipped a toe into FFVI in several ways (Magitek, Ghost Train, Ultima Weapon) so it wouldn't be much of a logical stretch to implement a Kefka's Tower dungeon.
In fact, the game is made for it.

Imagine:
A. In the SNES version, it was a 12 man dungeon, you split your party into 3 groups of four working your way through the "monument of destruction".
B. It has a boatload of amazing bosses and multi-party interactions.
C. It would make heads explode to relive this area as an MMORPG in 3D.
D. It would fit perfectly into the world of Eorzea and mechanics style of FFXIV.


Unnnn make this happen.

I really like this idea!

I'd like to see more than just Kefka's Tower though. They could add different final dungeons from the series like Ultimecia's Castle, Memoria, Northern Cave, Pharos, etc. Maybe give them a chance of dropping ultimate weapons used by characters from that dungeon's respective game.

This would be amazing.

I approve of using any area of FF6. I would also like to see the floating continent.

I like it but ff6 has a special place in my heart I would like SE to focus in releasing the full game in full HD. Sure se can add another tower around not sure if it will follow in the lore of the game

Can we please do something else that is not a dungeon. I can barely stand the ones we got now.

I remember Magitek, Ghost Train, and Ultima Weapon on Final Fantasy 3...and Kefka.... so it's from way earlier than VI.

I sure as hell don't remember Magitek etc. from FF3. You're probably thinking of 6 which was FF3 in the states.

Going by both of your name and the other of Mubyoshi it is clear you want to go by the Japanese order. Which seriously, who cares if it is FF3 to him or FF6 to you, why do you people insist on trying to correct something that cannot be corrected? It was sold in the US (before you kids got your PSone remake) as Final Fantasy III, therefore, by him saying FF3 he IS correct. Deal with it fanboi.

Oh! I would also like to see the World of Ruin! There's several ways that can be introduced. One I thought up was Hydaleyn (sorry...spelling) uses the Echo to show us what would happen if the Ascians win.

FF6 is my favorite Final Fantasy game of all time.

Kefka is my favorite Final Fantasy villain of all time.

However...I don't want to see places and characters brought in wholesale from other games in the franchise. Tropes and recurring themes and characters are fine, they're a staple of the series; but bringing characters in like Lightning or entire dungeons (like Kefka's Tower from the World of Ruin) from other games is just (annoying) fanservice that IMO cheapens the game and overall experience.

I really don't wish to see more of this cross-game stuff anymore. They can be real immersion-butchers.

I'd rather have ARR be more like a virtual world with its own lore and things to see and experience, not some Final Fantasy All Stars MMO Battle Action RPG.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

IMHO FFVI is a much better game than this that it deserves better.
