Gil Spam outta control today!!

Its been bad the last couple days but today alone I have added 10 ppl from tells and there all with the goldceo name but now that website is using random names also. !! help SE at this rate I cant keep up adn blist is already full..

There was a thread not to long ago about the goldceo character name it was rounding 600 names last night prolly hit 700 so far today O.o

Im not sure if SE caught o to them but now there useing FASJHF JSDKFH kinda names >.<

The RMT are like roaches kill one and 4 more pop up.

if i could reach through the monitor and grab the rmt i would rip their automated heads off and pull their power cords right out there wazoo's

My blacklist grows more and more everyday. I do agree with OP, the little time I have played today I have been getting hit left and right with RMT tells

Actually most of the time it is sweat shop conditions where 1 person works several boxes and/or virtual machines. Why automate when you can pay someone $3 a day for 12 hours of farming and/or spam. There was a very informative documentary about RMT a few years ago, this one will try to find it...

If people stoped buying gil they would go out of business

I know it was insane on the Zalera server today. So many Goldceo messages popping up. I gave up blisting them because there were so many.

If you see them, report them. SE can't be everywhere at once and they rely on the playerbase to inform them of things like this...

No wonder NA servers are full of gil spammers, you just complain about it instead of reporting them. How to report, it is under Report Cheating, and they have a nice and handy list you can fill out to catch the cheater.

Stop complaining if you do nothing to help prevent it.

blame all of the player sw/ the full HQed armor/accessories w/ all tier 4 materia smacked onto them for that RMT spam they support them. People w/ no crafting hardly any playtime and hardly any classes lvled do not have the gil to buy this gear at its current asking price they are all buying gil.

Ya getting spammed 3 tells (from the same rmt) in a row b4 I can even get them blocked, started using a BL macro now ...

Yeah, today was abnormally bad. The Golceo's stopped today (well, went back to the scrambled names), but it looks like one of their competitors picked up their marketing tactic today. Had to blacklist two Vgolds.

But yeah, like someone already mentioned: without gilbuyers there wouldn't be any gilsellers.

That's right! Silly players logging on a game to play and have fun and not to use their precious free time away from job, children, in laws to copy and paste a name, fill out a forum to police the a game for a company that charges them money.

Its not about what the game can do for you, its what you can do for the game!

So far on my main and an alt I have reported over 300, and have reported about 10 in a day, I hope they just put in a right click name block/report spam

Holy mother of fucin hell..... I've been watching the Player Search for only 1 hour now, and they change the spammer names all the fraggin time...

First it was
Goldceo Sda
Goldceo Sesghf

5 mins later...
Goldceo Vixsag
Goldceo Sadfg

And this just kept going and going with only few minutes between them... Its like they swap them out, as soon the next character is through all the tutorial crap.

I rarely sit in cities due to the gilspam, and the few whispers I get from them I could tolerate. But it is getting crazy, as I am getting city levels of gil spam in whispers now. One after the other. I think the last safe haven is inside dungeons now.

I haven't really heard as much gil spam recently. Maybe because I try to avoid the lag-fests that are cities as much as possible anyway, but when I was in uldah a lot a couple days ago I don't remember getting spammed, and today I think I saw gil seller shouting.

They should do something like what TERA did and just ban Chinese IPs. That would probably fix at least 60-70% of the RMT issues.

WOW Wtf! Last time I checked it was 300ish, several days ago. I bet they gonna keep breeding until it hit some thousands. I also got random /tell from Goldceo something today twice,

Hyperion it had actually settled down a bit but started getting RMT crap again the past few days :|

780 Goldceo Characters now.. thats getting out of hand -_-

Also saw one of the more "classic" RMT bots the other day standing in Gridania.. you know the Lalafells with crap gear yet level 50 and a name that looks like they smashed their hands on the keyboard. ^^;

Well at least they are using proper grammar now.

I really, really don't understand why thy don't offer players the option to filter out tells from anyone who has not paid for a subscription and from anyone who has sent more than (say) 50 tells to different people that day.

Sure, there are times when not every player would want those filters, but a lot of people would prefer to have them available as options.

Sheesh, what's with the crazy necro bumps lately?
