Things you do because you are done with Raiding?

So Coil is like a hour or so of work, seeing how they've had turn 5 off for weeks.
What does my FC do for fun, we get out FC leader to invite 7 people in Toll and pop quiz them. First person to get 3 questions right first gets a Titan run. We also just Que up in DF with 7 and down it.
I find the reactions we get to be was more worth it than some gil.
"YOU GUYS JUST BLEW MY MIND"
"YOU ARE NOT HUMAN, I MEAN OUT OF THIS WORLD"
"AFTER 150+ TIMES AND IT WAS SO EASY"

Yes these were all in caps.

What do you guys do when your 1 hour of raiding is over?

Level/gear alt jobs for those who aren't legacy members. Craft. Help new FC members with Relic fights.

See I was going to do crafting, but than I noticed just how useless they are.

I'm not doing coil yet, but when I've capped Mythos for the week, I just troll Mor Dhona with weird shouts.

"<Titan> <primal hard battle> Troll Party. Full Reindeer or Santa suits only. Wipe on Phase 1 or GTFO."
"Double Bacon Cheeseburger LFG. I come with French Fries or Onion Rings."

Also it's great when people reply and play along.

When I'm done with coil for the week I...don't play FFXIV

I have a guy on my server with the name Double Bacon, I get hungry when I see him.

I play pokemon X and rune factory 4 on my 3DS. That's also what I play when I do AK, while I auto-follow my tank and let my fairy solo heal.

pretty much this, so sick of people saying level crafting classes...why? so I can burn 100s of thousands of gil to materia meld armorthat is easily replaced by coil and or myth items. why not just save the gil and not derp your gil away?

It's great to see their reactions. I know lots of people are stuck on Titan, but I ran into people on all the primals thanking my group for finally getting them the clear.

I've been being a completionist.

Finishing all hunting logs, fishing log, all levequests for every class, crafting log, gathering log.

Just doing things to pass the time.

Our FC sit's in toll and sells titan and has net over 20 mil gil doing it with some members currently possessing over 7 mil gil just from titan sells...

Life after Coil usually involves leveling an alt so I can have more Coil and get level 90 gear for all the jobs I want to play in a timelier fashion. Speeding though quests I've already done and leveling up is pretty boring though I must admit. =/

I do as much as I can to get gil. My quests got screwed up so I have to do my relic reborn quest over again. Buying two savage aim III materia at 60k a piece is ridiculous, but I have to do it :(

60k a piece? Wow, server economies be crazy. Been thinking about leveling an alt though. If nothing else questing gil, yaay.

So am I the only one who thinks this poster sounds like a douche?

Yea you're telling me. This issue has been going on with people losing their progress for the past couple months. It sucks, but it's better than waiting a few more months with the possibility of no solution at all.

Mine, Fish, Botany, Craft, Explore, level new classes, finish hunting logs, finish GC logs, finish DoL logs, do side quests, achievements, levequests, spiritbond gear, try to find new places to reach that you aren't supposed to be able to reach and take screenshots or afk there, help others with content, FATE's, try to beat turn 5 of coil (I know it's a dungeon...)

This pretty much. This game has so much to do besides raiding it's crazy, and the options are going to expand quite substantially with the 2.1 update as well!

Level my alt, craft gear to spiritbond, play with the market, explore and take screenshots, draw ffxiv characters, I can go on :)

last 3 posters missed the crafting is useless memo apparently. not needed for gear or to get rich.

If you farm your mats and make the items there is profit...even if you just sell it to an NPC :p Also people buy gear to spiritbond so there is room for profit there. But say there wasn't, regardless of that I still listed multiple things to do..so..?

I get more "profit" out of running AK.

Like the OP says, 90% of those things are a supposed "waste of time"...

Personally I like seeing people burnt out on their 'strict raiding scheduled runs' until they quit the game, while I go do some RL stuff waiting for some Uni friends to get back into the game this Christmas.

But hey, if people like treating this game as an analytic number cruncher, then by all means they should do so. And for the Non-crafters... guess what, I don't have to deal with your shit in AK/Castrum/Pretorium if I craft my own stuff. Value is not measured by money sometimes.

After 40 min of coil, I level gathering, and farm WP for darklight on other jobs for the rest of the week.

Just run AK/WP/help with Titan HM to cap Myth. Or go on an alt on JP server.

Achievement hunting.

When i finish BC for the week and cap my myth i just log out until next week. Why? Because SE did a terrible job with progression in this game and BC ATM is a joke.

After Coil, I focus on making money for the next patch. If I get bored of that, I just log off.

Make Titan HM shouts with the gear requirement "R/M/E/D" ONLY. :P

That and recently I've started logging off of the game early and doing a horror movie marathon considering it IS October and all.
