So while in beta 4, I didn't know much about bard and was to lazy to do any research about builds for stat allocation. I did not dump every point into my DEX stat and put a few into VIT. I believe I dumped 3 points into other stats.
My question is do i need to spend the 10K in seals to redo my points into DEX or should I be ok for end game content?

You honestly won't see any noticeable difference unless you dumped all your points(or like 15+) into other stats outside of dex. However if you want to change it at any point, yes you will need to spend 10k seals(which if you ever level another class to 50 that amount is a joke with all the fates you'll be doing).

Not to mention... what else will you spend your seals on anyway? I think all I ever spent them on was promotions, the lvl 50 GC weapon, and one time I got some gear for an alt job. Got 30k atm and still climbing, no clue what to spend it on.

you will end up with far more seals than you will ever use, i only use them gearing alts when leveling through fates
30 points in str ends up being ~5.5% damage iirc on a dragoon, im sure dex wouldnt be far from that for a bard. -

I haven't really done a lot of fates, just the hunting log, i only really have about 7K in seals atm and will most likely be picking up the lvl 50 bow because i cant see to get the drop from Ifirit yet... 0/9. Im sure i could get the 10K with a few nights of fate farming, but I really want to focus on WP/AK runs getting my gear improved. SO basically you are all saying that 3-5 point in dex, not worth spending the 10K?

Whether or not you think spending the 10k seals for 3 extra points of DEX is worth it is entirely up to YOU. Personally, I think yes. 10k seals is nothing and an extra 3 DEX...well, that's 3 more DEX!
Ask yourself what else are you going to spend those seals on and if that is more important than 3 DEX. -

Pay the 10k, restat to 30 DEX.
VIT is only important in one fight pre-CoB - Titan, but by then you SHOULD be close to full Darklight gear, making your HP high enough to survive the stomps and stray moves (you should only be getting hit by stomps and Earthen Fury if you're DPS).
Don't do STR - at all - on bard
Accuracy - unless you're starting CoB, not really important. Once you start CoB, aim for about 470ACC
Crit - better chance to proc Bloodletter = better Deeps -

You should be putting them into piety. As a BRD you'll want to have maximum uptime on your songs. If you're not playing a song, you're not really doing your job. You're support, not dps. Crit and acc aren't going to help you support your party, but longer songs will.

After BV is over drop the song. Foe's Requiem is only really helpful for BLMs and it does squat for Wind Bite and Flaming Arrow.Quote:

Yes, we are support, but as the lore goes, we provide support by dealing damage from a distance and provide supporting songs when needed.
We'll have around 2,000 MP at 50 which is 'enough'. -

If you want MP as a bard nothing is stopping you from getting crafted armor and socketing piety in the available sockets. I filled some pieces of armor with it since my accuracy is already through the roof is it is. Allocate all your points into DEX, DEX materias are absolutely worthless considering they cannot be used on anything that already has DEX on it in the first place.

IDEALLY, you want 30 in Dex. YES.
But in reality, even 6 Dex simply isn't going to make a noticeable difference.
So if you happen to find yourself with the seals to reset your stats, go ahead and do it.
If you don't and don't feel like farming seals, then I wouldn't worry about it.
The gearing/stat requirements simply aren't tight enough in current content for a <2% difference in a base stat to actually matter. -
