I always thought it would be kind of cool, since they reference all the other games. If something happened to make like portals to the other game or something (I know I'm puzzled to at what I just typed). You know you go in one portal you are in FF6, another FF12.

They've already stated they're not going to put any FF characters in unless the story can support it. FF13 I can see happening. FF7... not so much.

Also Materia! If materia was before 7 I wouldn't know since that was my 1st FF lol.

I dont see what all the hype over lightning is about, I really did not care for 13 at all. I personally would really enjoy seeing any characters from 6 or 7 in this game.

I think they want to wait to see the reaction to the lightning returns FATE/theme items once they are patched in. Also the reactions people have to the FF homage armor and minions they put in the recent letter from the producer might also be something they measure reactions to. As for how I feel, not sure yet since I need to see more of the storyline to know how it would fit or not fit.

If they made him a raid boss, then I would enjoy it. If it's just an npc, part of the story... I wouldn't really care. I know people enjoy the story with this game, but I don't really care about stories in mmorps. But if it would make people happy and bring more people to the game, then they should have at it.

Never know they did it with dissidia....what if Cosmos and chaos visited us? :O

No Cloud please. A sword like his buster sword would be cool though for some future class.

With the Crystal Tower being taken directly from FF3, I think it's plausible that they will do analogous things for dungeons from other games.

I think Disc 2 Midgar might work better than the Crater, though, since that one is more like dungeon -> boss whereas the Crater has the bosses all at the very end.

Not saying that VII is the game I'd like to see get this treatment, but I think that the Crystal Tower from III is an amazing idea, and I'm excited to see how they pull it off.

I'm already annoyed that Lightning is being pushed in our faces in this game, I'd rather not have Cloud treated the same. I think it's enough that 80% of the bestiary are HD versions of FFXI mobs, and we have plenty of nods to things from other FF games as well. When you start to insert actual characters from prior games into this one, then it feels overdone.

The bigger question is why doesn't Square just go and make the HD FFXVII remake people have been screaming for for years?

I'd rather have Final Fantasy Tactics Zodiac stone bosses... Seems more fitting for this game than some spiky haired dude from Midgar lol.

I don't think Cloud would shock anyone.. more shocking to me that they announced Lightning since FF13 wasn't well received. It could have been pretty much any other FF they pulled from and I think people would have liked it better. Meh, now that they announced Lightning though I think the sky is the limit... I don't really want to see Cloud or Sephiroth in 14 though since they are the 2 best well known of all the FF characters.

They claim it would cost too much money and people wouldn't buy enough to justify the cost. I call BS on that, but SE isn't known for making the best decisions anymore.

I have no idea why people even need to ask this, sephiroth & cloud will be a fate where you assist cloud and maybe his friends vs seph and maybe jenova. It's gonna happen, only real question is when.

And yes FFT for ps1 is amazing.

I'd much prefer Kain or, at least, Rydia.

Would be nice to see cloud and other characters. Not as we've seen them before, but maybe as old man who tells the story after ff7.

In other words they wont do another cross over until its time for another game promotion. Im willing to bet we'll be helping Sora, Kairi and Riku fight off some Heartless this time next year.

Hell, at least it makes sense in Kingdom Hearts, going into other IP worlds on the Gummi Ship is pretty much what they do. No idea how it even makes sense for FFXIII.

Sick and tired of VII getting all the hype. Put more old-school(1-6) FF references in.

They add the golden saucer, and maybe on a wall somewhere is a painting of Aerith and Cloud on a date there. And when you ask an NPC about it it says something like "This picture was done by a saige who saw the saucers future" or something like that.


What would be even more awesome is if they made a new FF Game that ties them all together to establish a time line of when and where the planets from each game were in the universe.
