Question about Becoming a White Mage

Ok My conjurer on this character is actually 30 but the Arcanist is level 19, there is also a lancer and thrum. classes on this same character. I expected to see the quest Seer Folly. I do not. I only see a lvl 30 conjurer quest. Is there a step I need to do to begin the job quest or is my Arcanist just too high a level and I have to delete this character and start again.

Yes, you need to complete the final level 30 CNJ class quest before you can do the WHM Job quest. It should be noted that unlike other Jobs, the WHM class quest is not started from the Guild receptionist, but the Guildmaster, E-Sumi-Yan. Completing the class quest he will automatically have a new quest available, which is the quest to unlock WHM.

After completing cnj level 30 quest, you will be sent to camp tranquil, where all whm quests up to 50 will start.

And after you have completed the level 30 Conjurer quest, you can also pick up the Unicorn quest at the Conjurer's guild. The NPC with the quest stands very close to the Guildmaster :)

This meaning the girl to the left of the short walkway leading down to the CNJ Master. She gives some low-lvl quests as well.

Id also recommend leveling up THM to 26 I think it is? purely for the insta cast on next spell (great for rezzing) :-)

little tip for you, cast stone skin on yourself and the tree when you do lvl 50 whm quest.

Cast Stoneskin on everything! The tank, your chocobo, your DDs (in between pulls), FATE escort npcs, I could go on...

Also be super careful with Regen, it's nothing like FFXI Regen in terms of hate. This spell WILL get you killed if you use it wrong, but that's the price you pay for instacast and efficiency. Don't be afraid to use it, it's a huge asset, just be careful.

THIS!!!

The skill is Swiftcast http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Swiftcast and is about the most useful cross skill in the game. A must have.

You will also pick up a lower Thaumaturge spell at lvl 8 Surecast http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Surecast which can be useful in transition phases at end level.

Level 30? ;_; are all the sub classes like this? The list I was going by said level 15 to unlock the jobs with the main being level 30. I'd like to know before I waste anymore time. Thanks

The main class must be 30(ie, CNJ>WHM, CNJ must be 30), but the 'main sub', ie what you need to have a certain class at to unlock, is 15. It tends to be most useful if you check your sub-classes for their highest leveled "useful" skill and take the sub at least to that.

Alright its like I read then. Phew scared me a little...I've done a lot of thought out planning on my characters...too far to turn back. I changed my mind twice on a couple.
So far I have lined up bard, scholar, summoner, black mage, and warrior. The last 3 are in the beginning stages.
Before anyone asks why split them on different characters... I just find it easier to level without all that grinding. Although it does get redundant with the crossover duties being the same per city.
Now I haven't seen the special item for the banquet in Gridania yet so don't spoil it for me LoL. I want it to be a suprise.
