World Transfer Services

I've been very patient with this. I just want to play with my friends and I still can't because I'm on a legacy server and my friend is on a non legacy server.

The reason we aren't allowed to move to a non legacy server was an economical one correct? Why not allow people to move to those servers with a much lower gil limit like 1M across the character and all retainers, or even 500K.

Hell I don't care about my gil at all damnit, I just want to play with my friends. Don't tell me to create another character cause I won't. That's not the kind of response I would expect from SE.

To reiterate: I would transfer with 0 gil. So do something about the restrictive transfer rules and just mitigate the economy effects of transferring with more rules instead of just not allowing all together. The legacy servers are overpopulated anyway.

I hope someone else feels the same way. Gil means nothing to me compared to gaming with a buddy.

You know your friends can move to your server. Non-legacy can move to a legacy. But now, your friends gotta wait till the transfers come back up and pay 25 dollars to get to you.

I was under the impression from the posting by Square-Enix during last week was allowing us to transfer our characters with up to 1 million gil and our retainers intact as long as they had no items for sale in the market. They were allow items in their inventory. However, the way it was worded you were allowed to transfer all of your characters during that week free. i was only able to transfer 1 character of 3 that I have, due to the issues with the servers / maintenance and they were limiting the transfers to 1 every 3 days "supposedly" yet I could not access it for the whole time - I transferred my 1 character that I did transfer on day 1.. I didn't get no other chances and I checked multiple times a day.. I feel a little cheated considering we were supposed to be able transfer more than one character. I understand things happen but shouldn't you be willing to make it up to us? Also I refuse to pay $25 dollars to transfer any character, I think that is insane. IF you let us COPY a character exactly keeping the original on the service you are on and the new copy on the new server you want to go to. That would be worth $25 Dollars. Right now as the rules sit for the transfers I am sorry, its a rip off.

Like Joewade I transferred an alt first ( to check server pop and performance) . Now my main is stuck, and nothing on the guide about a a 3 day lockout.

Had there not been so many issues with access through beta, head start and release I would not have characters of mine and friends spread across different servers.

This issue for me is that my buddy created a Free company and has friends on his server now. I have been actively avoiding free companies and making friends on Excalibur because I knew either he or I would move whenever possible. He wants to stay on his server and I have no problem moving to his (I'm willing to move) but the rules did not allow transfer from legacy to non legacy due to "economy effects". Those could just as easily been negated by more restrictions on items and gold for the transfer.

Legacy servers are already very full. If anything they should be thinned out if possible to the other servers.

The start of the game was botched and the free world transfer week was great but it did not solve the problem for "everyone". A lot of us are still stuck unable to play with the people we want.

Edit: Its almost a matter of fairness at this point. You botched the start, don't make us pay for it.

They could have, but does it make sense to have 20+ people that are already in a FC (some are friends of friends..) to move to my server instead of me moving to theirs? Especially when I'm on an already congested server.

I got cheated out of the free transfer.. When i submitted my request I always got sent to a maintenance. I contacted SE and they told me they couldn't do anything and i have to wait and pay. SE is getting really greedy with this game and as the days go by i'm slowly not wanting to play anymore because of there service to paying customers.

I personally think that a simple solution such as:

Characters created before (a certain date selected by SE, preferably around the time of beta and start of the game where selecting servers for character creation was messed up) get one free world transfer pass that can be used at any time as long as all other world transfer rules are followed.

Transferring from legacy => nonlegacy still needs to be allowed. As stated already, you can lower the economy effects with more restrictions on items and gold.

This way you guys can make money still off of legitimate world transfers and not problems created by the start of the game that isn't even our fault.

That's a great idea giving beta and 1.0 players a pass to world transfer but SE is just really money hungry, due to the fact that they made 0 off 1.0 instead had to roll the dice on ARR which is fun up to the point until players have to grind AK,WP, and CM for AF2.

Well. I can say right now that I wont be paying 25$ for something that isn't even my fault. I'm not sure I'd pay 25$ even if it was. Sounds to high anyway, that's 2 months of subscription practically. Just not worth it even if there was no limitations on the transfer.

If it works anything like FFXI then they will allow you to transfer up to 16 characters simultaneously but I only have 1 character, don't even have any mules. Why should I have to pay that rate when I'm not even using 15/16th of its usefulness. How many people are gonna need to transfer 16 characters anyway. They must be drawing this plan from ffxi which is a very successful game already. I don't see this doing well on a game that is still tottering due to the rough start. Server transfers should just be free for a little while IMHO to work out all the problems from the start.

If I can't play with my buddy, i will probably end up quiting cause socializing with your friends is a major fun factor in mmorpgs.

I completely agree with you and they should extent the free transfer thing until ps4 release or when the game is finally establish to a point of more content ( 2.1 patch) being released. SE just did this randomly and was very unfair to players unaware( I mean a E-mail would have been nice and not just a notice on the lodestone). What bothers me the most is why i ended up on a JP server when I'm from NA and not have a choice to switch over right away... Also that Non-legacy clause is stupid because either way you can only bring a certain amount of Gil to a different server. I'm pretty sure there is at least a couple of shells on each server doing coil turn 1.

Looks like the price turned out to be 18$ which is lower, but still sounds too high IMHO. The thing that matter though is that they did absolutely nothing about the legacy rules they had during the free week of transfer. It's still not allowed to transfer from a legacy to a no legacy.

I would start a strike on the forums against the world transfer service and encourage people not to use it but I doubt SE would even let a thread like that go without deleting it.

Oh well, prolly gonna end up quiting this game for the same reason I quit ffxi, got bored after all my friends quit and it was just me playing. No friends = boring. Don't let me play with my friends = eventually quit. This is my honest feedback.

I move into a legacy world as a new player to play with n old friend only to have them rage quit on me and now im stuck here in the guild where im an outsider for the most part and just want to go back to gilgamesh but unforutunately i missed the part where Transfering into a legacy world imprisons you there for life! Now im utterly miserable and dont wish to restart because i put too much work into my current character. -.-

Yeah this is unreasonably ridiculous. There's no way i'd ask 15+ of my friends to transfer to my legacy world which is overcrowded anyways and have each of them pay 18$ to do so. SE YOU NEED TO FIX THIS ASAP. Tighten restrictions on wealth transfer if you must, BUT DO IT FAST. Or you will will start losing players again.

Like some of you, i've actively avoided FC's and making friends for the simple fact that i want to move. This is stunting my progression as it's hard to get into coil groups that want to be static, etc etc etc.

I had no idea it would imprison me, I thought it was only for original Legacy Characters and not Non-Legacy people...

Restrictions on Gil Cap and STILL have to pay money and you lose a ton of gil, you really think people would transfer to a Non-Legacy server if they had 100mil gil??? This doesn't make sense and needs to be changed.
