Let's talk about Titan HM

I am completely stuck on this content. I know the fight well and am often last standing with the tank after heart phase. I'm a WHM and will have 3-4 people up with full health in the final phase but the other healer is down so everyone jumps off the edge.

Wtf?

I've had people send me tells offering to let me pay them for help. Umm, no thanks. I don't need a carry. I need a solid group willing to let me help them.

Part of my problem is I have a tank friend I want to do end game content with, and while groups always need a healer, they never need tank so I've had to form my own groups and decline fc offers.

My FC is too small to be a viable place to do end game content with.

So is there anyone here needing a healer AND tank for Titan?

I have the same problem. People bashing me cause i'm using ifrits bow with ak/dl gear and I am the last to die. If you ever wanna run it just message me:D death martyr is my character name.

LOL, raiding is not just about not dying. It's also about working hard to equip yourself as well as you can, before hand, so that your doing your part of the DPS or Healing or what have you. Garuda HM is an easy farm, and DL is easy to get. Stop cutting corners and do the work to earn the gear and it will be easier for you to get what you want. Would you want to do Titan HM with a tank in AK gear? I'm betting no. The same should be expected from you.

Well Lis got her Titan kill but her tank friend still needs it (not me). Any takers? :D

I do my duty in the titan fight. I know the fight my problem is I always have to DF it and it fails. Ill be on around 4-5pm est if anyone want to run it:]

Yup totally agree about gear. Tank is in full DL with Garuda weapon. He's basically capped on content and further gear until he can start coil.

Thanks Celesian. =) I finally got my kill but my tank friend still needs his so we can start coil together. I'd really love to be asked to help with Titan any time as well. I'll send you guys a whisper in game.

I'm in a similar situation. I cant seem to find a pick up from shouts and the fc I'm in doesn't have enough active players to run it. I'm hoping I can find a group to run this with, it's last thing I need to do before I get my relic weapon. if you can help please message me in game -Thanatos Vice

Thanks inviting us to down Titan with you! My friend had pretty much given up on content and is pretty happy now. You have a great group. I hope you all feel free to invite me for heals any time. =)

I just wanted to leave a message to offer kudos on such a nice and positive attitude. Imagine that, people playing a game and helping others...... just for the sake of helping. Typically that shouldn't sound sarcastic, but in this game?..... wow.

No 50 jobs yet myself, but looking to push a couple through sometime very soon. If anyone intends to continue to run these HM primals and/or dungeons for end game stuff, feel free to FL me. I am 100% with OP. I am not looking for carry, but will certainly run with similarly minded people.

There are people on here that try to take advantage. But there are the few that are kind and willing to help. Core players of my FC have downed Titan. And we are about to help some others that need it as well. I find it very taxing on WHM's in this fight. But also its a fight for dps in the beginning and survival at the end. Some of us will be doing attempt tomorrow. So if you like to try w/ some of us and we have the room. We would be happy to team up. For those that have FC's that are inactive and small. We would love to have family member join us. And if you hesitant. We do have a LS that you can join or befriend me as well. Zadiell Atreides is my name in-game. :D

Honestly, I love the way the prerequisites for raiding are setup in this game. Its like it cuts the fat for you.

Portus, according to your gears on the Lodestone, you're not ready to tackle Titan yet without placing too much strain on the healers. Don't get your hopes up for this weekend. You need at least full DL in order to tank him as you're the sole tank in there. 5.3k+ HP without Defiance is probably the safe threshold.

I'd love to be added to your Titan linkshell. I'm a PLD with full DL (1 AF2 Chest) and an Ifrit weapon. I have limited experience with Titan HM, but have watched instructional videos numerous times. A little instruction would help immensely.

Ahhhh! The tell you sent me the other day makes more sense now.

I was away for from FFXIV for a few weeks and posted this before resuming. When I left, I decided to leave with my AF equipment on (but I missed the gloves, I think).

We managed to beat Titan the same day I sent you the tell.

I appreciate the kind words Fifi. We are trying to help people as much as possible and have started limiting our runs to saturday evenings. It seems to be tanks only that need titan kills as I have around 8 tanks right now that have asked for a run and we are working through them one by one.

This is one fight where my connection latency shines through. I know, I know...you need to run before it even casts and you need to move out of the way before the landslide highlight is done, but it seems that Comcast hates me here. I do want to practice and get better at the dance, but people are always so impatient here. I have the relic on my white mage, but I don't even want to go back in there on my black mage.

I am always around to help people get through Ifrit and Garuda, as those aren't too terrible. It's always a fun time to help people farm for their weapons and move through the primals. I dread repeating the experience of Titan and having my contacts dry up in my eyes as I try to dodge. It might be worse than waking up after falling asleep with them on.

I'm sch and can help your party for titan HM. I can also ask some friends to come along and help to fill the party if needed. Have killed titan in various party compositions: 1/2/3/4 tanks, 1/2/3/4 healer, etc etc. Just msg my char in game or find me inside the mor dhona house lol.

i got stucked there for 3 weeks xD, luckyly i shouted for party and then, we kill it, it was like finding the love of your life, but in this case was the party of your life xD, o well, after that we will get stucked in turn 5 of coil xD

I have seen latency mentioned a lot here.

If you are having latency issues try running programs like Namebench and change your DNS to the most optimal one.

This has cut my latency to the sever from 150-180ms to 60-70ms.

Plenty of FAQs out there on how to change your DNS as well.

ALSO if that LS is still being passed out send one my way. I have helped plenty of groups down HM Titan and would love to help more! Increases my odds of getting that Titan SCH healing book I want just as a Trophy.

I have been having trouble with Titan to no end as well. I have been in numerous groups having no problems getting past the heart, only to loose it afterwards. I have been in groups with 6 members all with their relic and +1 a couple times and we still could not manage lol. I just left a group (healer had to leave) after 45 min fighting this guy and we got him to .2%. Very frustrating...I thought for sure we had it. I am good on the fight mechanics etc and can do my part in the fight. I'd love to be invited to your group celesian. I spoke to your mate tonight as well. Once I down this guy I will owe much gratitude towards your players and will have no problems helping you guys help others in the future. I'm all about paying it forward!

So any of you guys needing a dd for Titan just ask (whether I need it or not by then) i will still help out.

Obviously, if you need a healer to help people through this content please ask me. Barring RL restrictions I'm always up for another Titan kill.

can anyone here help me out ive been stuck on titan for my relic for almost a week. i can tackle garuda and ifrit easy and with random duty finder but titan i just cant seem to meet a group to tackle it. im also looking for a fc who also needs a future coil runner after i do get my relic as im interested in coil. im a dragoon btw in game name Jmack Theblade

Myself and a couple friends are on Titan now as well. Not looking to "buy" my way to relic, but if anyone who is competent above your typical DF group would like to group up, feel free to msg in game. Have been to under 10% a few times, and incredibly familiar with the fight, having run it approximately 75-100 attempts in DF. In any case, if there are any out there who are adequately dressed, and are not comatose in the fight, I hope to hear you. Would certainly be up for friends list additions as well for future jobs, and would be more than willing to help you or friends of yours in the future as well. Thanks for reading.
