Too late - Yoshi has a specific vision and goal and he's not distracting from it. That goal includes making CT easy and DFable.
Um... it already only has a release date of "this year" and Yoshida talked about having live letters 'every month' til it came out, which suggests it can't possibly come out before the end of november.
Anyway, I'd be happy if it came out tomorrow. There is NO mistake in releasing this sooner.
Also what you're really QQing about is CT not being the hardest of the hard endgame, and sorry but {that's too bad}. It's already going to be what it's going to be.
There's six possible item drops from BCoB every week. That works out to be 0.75 pieces of a gear per person, per static.
Assuming they release the CT relatively soon, it'll be a great place to gear up under-geared non main jobs. It'll also be a nice place to upgrade pieces of gear which are sitting at DL or lower.
Sure, this'll be useless for the mass majority of players who have grinded full AF+1 or Allagan, but most people haven't.

CT is gonna appease the casual masses and the casual subs pay the bills. Any sort of progression content wont be until 2.2 Might wanna go find something else to play for 5-6 months. Yes I agree this is a horrid decision on their part.
CT is scheduled to be released around Mid-November atm and drop Item Level 80 Crystal Gear to bridge the gap between Dark Light and AF2/Allagan.

point 1: if they would put CT upper the coil, then coil should have all the drop reverted to iLvl 80, and that's just no
point 2: we missing the equip in the middle between darklight and allagan/AF2 and that equip have to be dropped somewhere. CT were supposed to be in at launch and couldnt make it. If they have to re-do all the balance again, there's no end of the year for 2.1....would mean wait until spring
Crystal Tower should have been in for launch.... They didn't put it in because they needed to "nerf" it for Derpy Finder, but then that is a terrible excuse... OK, if they put it in at launch it would be harder than they intended, but they can still nerf it for 2.1, and we'd not have had several months with a major piece of endgame content missing....
With people still not really clearing Turn 5, it would seem pretty silly to make Crystal Tower harder than it, and delay it even further for that... They need to get it out as soon as possible, not everyone has fully geared their Job in iLv90, in fact I'm fairly certain very few people have given the weekly reset.... Worst case Crystal Tower ends up like Primals; "These are worthless except for getting my relic weapon, but I guess I can get gear for other Jobs I may or may not level".
The majority of players who play aren't even 50; why should we make more content that's above coil in difficulty? It was already confirmed to drop IL80, to be DFable, and it'll be a good way for people to fill in the gaps of their gear with decent stuff.
OP, you took a potshot at CoB being excluded from the difficulty being lowered on older content when new content comes out. But you're needling what is essentially a special circumstance. CT was meant to be there from launch, as the bridge between Titan HM and CoB. There's a gap, missing content, content we don't have. CT isn't 'new', it just went missing before the whole game's curtain call.
You need to call it as it is, which is, that you're asking that SE completely redo CT so that it's the step AFTER CoB instead of before, which would undoubtedly cause it to be delayed WELL into next year. If you want a Hardmode, we need the normal mode first.
As for who's left to pay the bills being 'just the casuals', you may not think highly of the casuals, but they make up a majority of the playerbase. Heck I came into this game at level 50, and I haven't even beat ifrit HM yet, I only did my first WP run the day after the hotfix patch was done.
It's unfortunate you're already at the end waiting for the next big thing, but there are in fact plenty of people still working their way through. Whether you even intentionally tried to get to the end as soon as you did is irrelevant, the fact is that yes, now that you're there, you have to wait for the majority of the playerbase to catch up or at least get considerably closer to where you are.
Well if you're gonna replace your whole OP... That's fine, but in the end, there's so many random doom sayers, both in the real world and in this game's forum community, that no one's going to remember you. You stating that the game is going to fail or fall short will hardly make you a memorable individual, even if you're 'vindicated'.
Exactly this, what the OP suggests is to cater to 5% or less of the game population and screw the other 95% not clearing BC. Looks like zerging this game was a poor choice and turned into hurry up to wait.

By the time CT comes out - and I haven't done Coils yet anyway - I'll have a crap-ton of IL90 gear. Valor Coronet and Gauntlets, followed by the feet, once I save up enough myth. That being said, I'm excited for the 24-man content and seeing what kind of cool gear and stuff awaits us in CT.
CT was always suppose to be easier than the bahamut coils, it just didn't make it in time for launch.
The progression of the game is suppose to go HM Primals >> CT >> CoB
The game model you're looking for no longer exists. Being able to play MMOs as if its a full time job is never going to happen again. Look elsewhere
OP there is absolutely no way this is going to happen. Even if you had 500 people agree with you here, it won't change the dev team's roadmap. Everyone seems to only be thinking in the short term. Like there isn't going to eventually be level 99 players and content to fit them. FFXI ran strong for a good 10 years and like this game, began at level 50 cap. There are long term plans in place that aren't going to be changed simply because you personally feel like you need a greater challenge.
BTW: Please post a link to the bug report on Twintania, because right now, it seems to be working as intended. So there is your challenge.
I sure haven't completed all the dungeons yet or even started on coils but before I get concerned, is Coils suppose to be easier after doing CT?
Especially after getting gear for it. Are gear drops from dungeons help in progression for harder/ challenging dungeons?
If the progression is really suppose to be in that order, maybe that's the reason the boos of "Coils Turn-V" is glitching out. (just speculating)

Going by this entitlement, then I guess you should have no opinion on Crystal Tower difficulty and comparing it against CoB since you haven't cleared one single turn of coil.
My opinion is really simple with the example just above. Stop being selfish, entitled, rushing through content, and most likely trying to force ppl into the same practice. Stop being so tunnel visioned with endgame when you have plenty of other things to do in game.
This is initial CT content just like CoB's turns. Its floors will become more and more challenging as they are added.
Just like someone who has already 'finished and beaten' the game is not my fault. Plenty of new people starting and plenty of people not in Coil yet. Not only that, as a WAR main, are you saying that it should be easy for me to get into Coil, when most end game groups running coil want 2 PLD. Or should I just reroll PLD? Or should I just gear up in iLvl 90 gear first to be considered? As it stands, I have a better chance to get into coil with CT gear on than DL gear to tank. Or I could just not worry and play all the other classes, craft, gather, fish, etc. until WAR gets fixed or CT gear comes out making it viable to have a WAR in PT for coil. Your mindset is that 85-95% of the population is going to get one 50 with all of their cross skills and beat the game in the next couple months. That is not my problem.
PS: Your Apple analogy is horrible. Apple is close minded and swings its hoowaadilly however it likes because it has the power to do so. Look at all the other cell phone manufacturers. They release flagships all the time, while releasing mid grade equipment that please others.
Ok its still unbeatable because of the "Bug" Glitch w/e you want to call it. And I believe SE turned turn 5 off again. I never even said it had anything to do with game mechanics I said that "Turn 5 atm Is unbeatable because of a glitch and that if it was working as intended then I'm sure people would have downed it by now".
By achievement, not by a RNG piece of Allagan and a chance to win lot on it. The first turn achievement you don't even have to clear it, to earn it.

sure, there's a portion of map in turn 1 where usually people don't go so it can be flawed...but even so, turn 2 is still uncleared, as turn 3
No people are just crying cause they don't have a job to level 50 yet and it gets old hearing people tell others not to rush to "End Game" and again PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET THAT THIS GAME IS A REMAKE AND THAT PEOPLE ALREADY HAD LEVEL 50. If you don't have a level 50 job that's fine no one is telling anyone they have to rush to 50 and do END GAME, But its ok for others that don't have a level 50 to say well you shouldn't have rushed to End Game because we are bored after getting locked out of content for a week.
Why Crystal Tower should be pushed back and redone again is because the fact that Yoshi P said that once new content comes out that the difficulty of hard content will be lowered. Someone said like only 5% of the player base is at end game that's fine and the rest are stuck on titan (which he is a pain in the butt) So I would like you to tell me when 2.1 comes out and SE lowers the current hard content we have (HM Ifrit,Garuda,Titan) and supposedly CoB (I think it will be excluded) when the other 95%(pretty sure that % is wrong) the player base who is stuck in hard content catches up whats going to be left for them to do CoB until the next patch? Don't get me wrong if they don't do a damn thing to CT I'm still going to be playing it.

There is no reason to delay Crystal Tower more than it already has been. I'm sure there are many people that are not to Coil yet (myself included) or maybe they are not even to lvl 50. While it is admirable that you cleared the content so fast, many players simply have not and this will work out perfectly for them. In a perfect world Crystal Tower would have been included at release but things happen and it was not. Honestly you guys should be proud that you are clearing Coil without this stepping stone. Also it is in no way useless content as at some point you will have other jobs you want to gear up and you will then be able to enjoy CT as it was meant to be enjoyed.
I don't care anymore if they don't change anything that's fine still going to play the content, Maybe just wont play as much as I'd like to.
I think what's frustrating everyone at the moment is that of the blatant screw ups on turn 5 of coil.
