Titan HM isn't really that hard to solo heal as long as the people in your party are good about avoiding stuff which needs extra healing (or raising). :) Good job, though. I did it with my WHM as well.
but but there is an 100++ page post saying titan is impossible.
someone is lying.
I don't know who...
but i don't like it!
You melded too much vitality onto your gear.
It's obvious that you can solo heal, it's easy as shit this fight.
Having 4900 HP as WHM, with a PC and without latency I'd beat Titan typing with the feet while watching TV and playing on PSP.
If you can't solo heal it, then you can't even do it as 2 healers.
And with my 5 seconds lag PS3 I can't do it even knowing by heart every single mechanic and rotation of the fight.
I'm a PS3 user.
I've solo healed post heart as whm and sch.
My latency is not great (I am 18 hops from my server).
Learning the abilities is jsut how it is. You are expected to know the strat for every other fight you do, this one just invovles memorizing a pretty simple attack order and plan ahead.
Nice vid!
Well, with a normal PS3 latency (something like 1 second) I can easily beat him if I get a good group that doesn't get hit by every aoe, but 5 seconds! I get hit by WotL even if I start moving before it appears! The blow triggers after less than half a second that the animation XD
I am "geared" and "experienced", it's latency my only issue! (and don't say I'm undergeared just because I' not full DL because 3400 HP are enough for Titan)
Recorded when i was on durandal. As i live in france, i had more then 400ms during the recording of this video.
Add to that, i'm playing on a crappy laptop and had 15fps because of fraps.
Also i'm not posting this to show any kind of e-peen, but more to help peoples who would like to do it as well.
EDIT: The lack of avatar makes me want to punch a kitten. Damn you server transfer bugs!
Thanks for posting this video! I'm only Level 44 right now, but seeing this kind of thing is very inspiring. I'm not sure if I'm more impressed by solo healing it or the mana efficiency when doing so. Definitely gives me something to shoot for :).
Really easy to do this when everyone has 4k+ hp..
the 100+ page post does not say titan is impossible. it is a thread about the position lag problem in this game (or whatever you want to call it). in other words when you are out of a red circle and still get hit by aoe. it is in the accepted bugs forum btw. also as a note, not one person in that thread asked for a nerf to titan, they all just want a fix to the position lag.
I am more interested in why the one SMN is using Titan.
Yea solo healing is super easy. I did it on my Scholar with no bard, 2 i90, and no +1. The only time solo healing is hard or pretty much impossible is when you get rocked twice in a row during heart phase or your team for some reason eats everything. I play on a PS3 too. Was this video of a PUG or was it your FC?
I sell titan runs with my fc. We use a 6-man setup with 1 tank, 2 healers, and 3 dps. As a healer, I could say that if you do titan enough time, healing in titan becomes like second nature to you. This isn't hard to do once you've become really familiar with titan. There might be a slight problem when he puts you in a gaol during the last phase but I guess if you have good communication with the tank and ask him to use hallowed ground, it should be ok. Other than that, solo healing titan is quite simple.
Never said solo healing titan was hard. Only reason i recorded this, is because we did a relic rush goodbye event inbetween friends as i was leaving durandal, so just decided to record the whole thing, then figured i could post it as when i searched, i dint find any video related to solo healing titan.
Neither really. Just a group of friends. Notice that most of us moved because of the lag tho - playing with 400ms can be a pain for titan and coil.
This guy did it nearly a month ago with everyone in group having much less than 4k hp other than tank

In other words, this thread is pointless.
So that's an ilvl90 piece? Cooooool??? Don't see how that's a counter example to my statement that the fight is balanced for i70. Obviously if you have better than 70 the fight becomes easier and easier. 6k+hp plds are pretty snooze fest to heal, but doesn't mean its necessary.
I was responding to the claim that the op only did it cus he was way over geared, and I poitned out he's not actually that over geared (at least not obviously based on his gear). More over, even if he was, the fight is still possible to solo heal when at the gear poitn the fight seems to be balaned for. (60-70 mix).
Well regardless of who did it first with/without whatever gear, I know I'm struggling to beat Titan so I tip my hat to you for pulling it off solo!
OK, so the dude has 4.9k hp and he is not 'way over geared'?
Sounds legit
I completely agree the fight can be solo healed with less gear. Why would someone post a thread with a video saying "here I hope this helps ppl" when everyone in the video is overgeared for the encounter? How does that help people who are struggling with the encounter?
You say you posted this to help people, but it's really not terribly helpful. This is not indicative at all of how your typical titan group will go. A typical titan group would have wiped a dozen times over in that video, since people constantly got hit by mechanics (including you), and the only reason this succeeded at all was because your group overgeared the place to the point that they could get hit and live anyway. Any typical group you might end up with trying to get relic playing like you guys did would have been a wipe fest followed by the group breaking up.
A solo heal with a DF party would be impressive (with a full attack SCH)
Here's me solo healing it in a 5 man party. It's from dragoon perspective though :(

White mages shouldn't fight each other, and you can never have too much vitality if you know how to heal efficiently and properly.
