Would you back over what you just said and actually learn what elitist means? Nor is speedrunning an exploit. They used a tactic and did a dungeon in 8 minutes.

No it was most definitely an exploit, and they all need to be banned. SE should take criminal action against them as well!

I really dont understand. IF SE does not want speedruns to exist why not barricade each area with an energy field similar to first boss room in amdapor keep that is removed when the rooms mobs are cleared?

This cannot be done since you have to kill Tomberries to get their lamps and open the doors, but the first part can be skipped completely. I hope SE fix it soon.

That's not even possible anymore, since you need to kill Tonberries, to get lamp oils, or you cant open gates.
So it's already fixed in 2.05.

Just add 1 point of hate to everyone in the party. Group hate would solve all speed run issues.

People seem to have missed this.
Even with the patch, this group can do a legitimate 10 minute run. No exploits.

Oh god... they, they manaburned it... they manaburned it all!

This was done pre speed run nerf notice how the doors are open.

Not possible to do this now. You need to kill Tonberry's for lantern oil before you can activate any of the switches. And they all are probably relic-ed out with +1 so the dps is definitely enough to burn the bosses down that fast.

ya ok, so this just proves that having optimal set-up, and killing stuff, instead of ignore everything...saves you 2min...
so in CM where everyone wanna speedrun, and ignore everything, and end up wiping instead...at best you gain 2min, but most of the time you loose 20, cause most ppl are bad players.
just take that extra min to clear mobs, and don't be in such a rush...

Not exploiting and people have been doing this in AK for sometime now.

This was a well know fact and mostly everyone was using that at that time. But it isn't working anymore so why care. it got fixed. Search reddit there is a way to do the dungeon in 13 minuets still.

Op should rename topic to WP pre and post patch runs 8 mins and 10 mins

Already nerfed. You can still speed through to the Goobbue boss but in order to open the doors to the pudding you have to kill tonberries that drop oils needed to activate the levers.

sigh the only way they can fix speedruns is as some1 said... barricade areas til u kill the mobs in the room. wont happen however...

Watch the second video mate. They did add barriers so you have to kill the mobs. It added 2 minutes to the speed run. 2 minutes.

Sad part about these videos is it's now going to be used by the elitist players as the rule to measure by. If you can't get past the flans by 8 minutes then expect people to be dropping from the instance to find a 'better group'.

they are really good we tried to do the AOE speed run just like in the second video, took us 20mins
