So, I've been having issues being the Stunbot Paladin of the group that if I miss ONE single stun I'm cursed out and ridiculed. The fights I'm mainly talking about are Chimera and Ifrit (yes I know once I get past needing these I should be free and clear, but this is where I'm at, at the moment). According to my screen I have NEVER failed to hit stun in time (at least according to my screen). Considering I literally just sit and auto attack waiting for the ability I'm supposed to stun, I do it. But always at clutch moments, my stun, which, according to my screen went off before the cast time even hits half way, fails to block it and tends to wipe the group. I have the fastest Internet available in my area(FIOS) in Los Angeles and i'm on the Excalibur NA (Legacy) server, yet I'm still having these latency issues, not only with stuns but also with just regular avoidance techniques. So I guess my overall query is, does anybody have any suggestions? Or does anybody know if anything is being done about it?
Edit : Funny thing is, is I wouldn't mind the role, if it worked correctly, and i'm now currently resorting to refusing to do it until I'm geared enough to MT and let someone else deal with the pressure and ridicule.

I typically Main Tank and Stun for Ifrit and Chimera fights. Ifrit is easy - Just learn his rotation and you'll never miss a stun. Chimera can be difficult due to how random his abilities are, but if you're only auto-attacking you shouldn't ever be animation locked. Animation timers can be an issue with most of our abilities, but shield bash usually goes off rather quickly. Do you run any software to monitor or record your ping while you're playing?

Do you know for sure that your stun is failing to go off before the ability ends and that it's not being resisted? If a combination of more than 3 stuns/silences goes off within a 30 sec. window, the enemy becomes stun resistant for a period of time.

Having the stuns activate based on attack animation is dumb anyway. For Warriors it's even worse, because the wind up is so long. If the stub started right after you hit the button, it would at least be able to not be screwed over by a bit if latency, which for whatever reason seems much more prevalent in this game than other MMOs

I was having issue with being stunbot on Ifrit and I thought it was a latency issue. Come to find out it wasnt. It was from low fps. I noticed I would get the stun off before the eruption was over but it would still go off. My fps was causing the issue. Ended up replacing the motherboard and got my fps back up and now I never miss a stun. Worth a thought looking into for other ppl.
It was causing me get hit by crap that I should be dodging. Now I can say Im out of the red circle and actually be out and not take damage. -

I am no where near end game but been playing mmos for a few years and never been cursed out for anything in a guild. Get a new FC and check your fps it makes a difference and watch your combat log for immune resist or miss they seem to happen when you need it to work the most. Get friends the people should never treat you like that.
