Has anyone successfully completed a server transfer?

Just curious. I want to move one of my toons, but I'll probably give it a few days for things to settle down.

It's giving me problems, telling me I have no character able to transfer. Well like hell I don't, it's existed since p4 finished the story etc so why the hell can't I move it to the world all my friends are on?! -.- No it's not in a FC or anything either I checked the guidelines to make sure I would of been able to and it's just flat out not letting me. "No characters available for World Transfer" Uh..I'm looking at it?

Nope unsuccessful . . The Transfer service is getting hammered atm and everyone is getting the same errors ( No character to transfer ) and no list of worlds to transfer to. Square has acknowledged the issue
and i hope its up and working sometime today as i want out of my current world

I was just able to successfully submit my transfer. Well see how long it takes to process/finish. A few things that tripped me up at first:

- Had to leave my current FC.
- Had to remove all items, from the market, that my retainers were selling.
- After completing these first two steps, and closing the game/client, it took like 5-10 minutes for these changes to reflect on the transfer website.
- On the second screen in the transfer process, the one with the two drop-downs, make sure to click confirm after selecting from each one. It only populates the second drop-down after clicking confirm next to the first one, and so on...
- The first drop-down is for the destination server. Seems kinda backwards to me and confused me for a second.

It allows me to choose the destination server but when I try to click the drop down box for current world and character selection it doesn't give me anything but an empty box.

Well after resetting it and trying again it went through! Time to enjoy my new world with all of my friends finally! ^^

Same refreshed page till showed chars kept doing it got me all the way thru :D GG!

I got through after 6 hours of trying. Character was correctly "packed" at the start (as in out of FC, no items on market, not in instance). I could not get a correct list of destination servers (got one NA only or and odd but consistent mix of 5 NA/JP ones).

Once it gave me a full list of target destination servers, my existing character's current server was populated in the lower drop down as expected. I messaged my brother and he got through within one minute too. I wonder if they aren't locking it, and opening it only for very short windows like they did with log ins during congestion?

I've been trying off and on all day and it finally let me transfer. The first time it only gave me one server option so i quit. A couple hours later after several tries it gave me a long list. The rest went smoothly. Gave me a confirmation email within a couple minutes. Good luck.

Some people just have all the luck.

Noooope. Keeps telling me my character is in an FC, has items on the market, etc... Except, I have none of that going on. Sigh.

this is turning out to be one big joke as the rest of the game.
after a very good launch ( yeah right), then all the freaking lag issues.

my patience has run up with SE. after my card is up, i'm done with their crap.

I'd been trying off and on all day and it finally let me transfer. The first time it only gave me one server option so i quit. A couple hours later after several tries it gave me a long list. The rest went smoothly. Gave me a confirmation email within a couple minutes. Good luck.

Well, what do you know! It WORKED! I successfully transfered to Sarga- ga-..nanatatas......:confused: And a name change was necessitated! :D At long last, no longer will I be CURSED with a cat name!


Good luck, everyone! My journey has yet to be completed. Hopefully in 3 days Balmung will still be available and transfers will be seamless. :cool:

Well still can't transfer can pick the the server but shows no Characters, how long does it take for them to show after logging out? Can you even be in sanctuary outside!

Edit: Well it worked: you have to pick Destination and click confirm kept forgetting that part
shouldn't take to long for it show maybe 5-10mins give or take!, then didn't seem to take to long for the transfer to complete already moved!

My problem seems to be that it only shows me characters that I have on JP dataset. Its not listing my NA/EU characters avalaible for transfer. I have made characters on different servers, tried with choosing different servers in transfer aswell. However, it seems to be showing only the character in JP datacenter, giving me the conclusion that maybe they broke NA datacenter again. GO tech GO

pick destination server, click confirm
pick current world, click confirm
select yes to the characters i want transferred, then click 'proceed to transfer confirmation'

It never works, always get this message on the next page: The World Transfer service is unavailable, or the website is currently under maintenance.
Please wait and try again.
Ive tried 3 different browsers, 2 different computers and even had my rl friend login and try to do it for me and it doesnt work.

I got mine through yesterday with some perseverance and a whole lot of luck. Went from Midgardsormr to Lamia, took a number of times clicking 'Back' then into the transfer submission page to get all the servers, then a few more attempts to get the transfer to confirm. However, once I got it done, it was only a matter of minutes before I was on the new world. So... getting to trans is a royal pain... but one you get it through it's almost instant. They will be performing maintenance on it tonight, so hopefully that will ease (note, I didn't say 'solve') the majority of issues.

Yeah, well I put in an application last night along with my free company members to switch over servers. Each one of them went through with it after mine said this process may take several moments to complete...blah blah blah.

Well today it is 3:30pm est, and I still have not transferred but all of my members have. It says I have to wait 3 days before transferring again. So I have tried contacting SE with no luck on the situation.

This is now hurting our tries at taking on Coil turn 1 which we finally got to as an FC....
