Allow to exchange leves if you haven't done them?

If I pick up, say, Broken Water leves and realize I have no one to help me with them and I'm too low a level to do them solo what's the harm in being able to exchange them to something else since I haven't activated them yet? So I suggest this is changed please because its not working out well for me today.

I mean, introducing a system where it allows you to do actually do stuff that's rank appropriate is just catering to casuals, and thus automatically EZ MODE.

You always could do this since the start of the game. The only ones that aren't exchangeable without finishing are the special faction levequests but I don't see why you would want to throw away your 400 faction points since they are not refunded to you.

You can, but not on the same day.

You can trade them in by:
A: Going to a different city-state's levecounter
or
B: Waiting for the guildleves to reset and then proceeding as normal (but uncompleted leves will not give you increased rewards for trading them in IIRC)

^wrong.

You can trade them in immediately, and in the same city. I've done it before when I've accidentally taken a leve I didn't want. You do get a 0 on the exchange though.

How so? I JUST picked up leves for BW and realized I had no party to do them with so I went to replace them with leves for Nophica and they were grayed out indicating I can't exchange them....unless I need to do some voodoo magic to get it to work?

Are you sure you didn't fail them and then try trading them in?
And you should have been able to pick up 2 (assuming you picked up 6 from BW/Hala), or more (assuming you didn't pick up hala)

No I was literally still in the city. I picked up 8 total: 1 nophica, 1 horizon, 3 Hal, 3 BW and then before even leaving the city I decided to exchange them for something soloable so I went to exchange my 3 BW for nophica and nanawa leves and they were grayed out and I couldn't do it.

That's really strange, because you should have been to trade in those BW/Hala ones for the other 4 at Noph/Hori.
Try again later, and if the problem persists, wait til reset. If it still happens, you might have to post on the Bugs and Complaints board and pray a GM sees your plea.

There used to be a bug with the Levequest list but I haven't seen it in a long time. But it would gray out leves as if you had done them already, couldn't trade them in or even activate them. Logging out then back in solved it every time of the few times it happened to me or an LS mate.

Ah yeah now I remember, you can trade them in right away :P I did it yesterday, how did I forget?

I just double checked guys and still no go. Can someone, next leve reset or when you have a chance double check this, see if you can replace a leve (in the same reset period) with another than you have accepted but haven't undertaken yet. I don't think its possible, I think you need to wait for reset, but it could just be a bug dunno.

Did you have any leaves you failed last reset? I do not think you can do it unless you have the 8 new leves from the current reset.

Outside that you should be able to get new ones immediately if you have not done the 8 yet.

You can't do the second variant, because the quest will be grayed out.

This is it then. I have 2 leves from previous reset that I failed, why should that matter anyway? they should allow us to exchange any leves we haven't undertaken even if we've accepted.

I didn't do any of the quests, I took them, turned around and tried to exchange them the instant I took them.

the reason that you cant exchange them as said and you have worked out is because you have some leves that you have the ability to exchange. Exactly the same as reselecting a local leve you need a full stack of non tradable leves. The question would be why dont you trade the failed leves.
If your response is I like doing them every reset, although this is allowed at the moment its not a reason for you not to trade them before cancelling non started leves.

Yes, you can exchange a leve that you have taken during the current reset period assuming the following conditions are met:
1. The leve has not yet been activated
2. You have no leves in your journal from the previous reset period
3. You have 8 leves in your journal

Although I do understand your plight, as many will, those are the leve exchange rules in place at the moment. If you have leves you abandon on a regular basis to allow access to them each reset period then you just need to be careful about what leves you take in the first instance as they will not be tradable after you have taken them.


Would I be right in saying that this is a thread to request removal of leve exchange rules 2 and 3 as noted above?
