Someone found out how to exploit some level 20 carpenter leve to obtain unlimited turn ins... through some in game bug or a force exploit via sending packets that shouldn't be there.
I wonder if this is what some of the RMT'ers were doing to gain GIL fast... As you'd get almost 100,000 Gil instantly from all those turn-ins.
Plz fix SE!!! And don't go dividing out crafting levels by 99% ... thanks.

At first I didn't see any issue. It's totally possible to craft a ridiculous quantity of something like HQ Walnut Planks and then just mass turn at the 100 leve cap (although not sure if 100 of those will achieve level 50?).
However, 100 turn-ins definitely takes longer than a minute. -

Make millions in hours by deleting your guy and getting carpenter to 20 to repeat the hack. I saw this pic earlier and hopefully the people get banned and the Gil is removed ASAP.
Is there a walnut planks leve for level 20? He goes 20-50 in about 4 min. There is no you gained x amount of xp except the top and then something called flintstone flight. -
10-08-2013, 03:18 AMAriynCheck that again. It's 20-50 in under a minute. No way possible to do without an exploit. Hell even with a 3rd party program I don't think they could do it that fast. Has to be something in the coding. Willing to bet that this is just the only one to get caught. I'm sure if they found a way with carpenter then the other crafting classes have em as wellQuote:

My LS-mate was the guy to report this... within minutes he was reported by probably about 20 individuals just in my LS alone. I'm sure we'll get a response within a week with more bans coming down.

And guess what over a year in and there are still bugs with traits/skills that have been there since beta, still hacks in WvW and the game engine is a lost cause.Quote:

Totally calls for a swing of the ban-hammer. There is no way you can even pretend to say this is okay. Btw, someone in the reddit thread did the math, you can't get to 50 with even 100 leves, the math just wasn't there. Not even without the time stamps that show it's insanely fast. -

Things like the camera/zoom "hack" is more client side then server side hacks in which attempting to prevent that is near impossible when there's no possible way to see it being done, these flying, wall hacking and anything else that's easily spotted will never get used to gain any advantage in game, simply because if a single person saw you then you'd be banned instantly, whereas what we currently have on this is bots, teleport hacking bots and account hacks running rampant and a bunch of other nonsense on the go. -

This level increase happens way to fast for the multiple turn in quest. I have seen this happen on Giligamesh with someone leveling alchemy. I was leveling carpentry from 25-30 turning in hq walnut lumber and was no where near gaining levels as fast as these people do.

It involves Level Turnins and some exploit. My best guess is there is some way via macros or 3rd party to cancel a quest turn in and turn it in at the same time. It's via spamming and it's normal thats for sure. The real question, is if the problem is related to all leve quests or just that particular one. And if that particular one, which one is it? Even the generic mmo hacker sites are stumped with this one. -

Make sure to always turn in HQ items, and the leves from the adventurer's guild in town are the ones you should be doing. It's been reported countless times, however loads of things are being reported. Like RMT spammers, teleport hackers and mining bots. And all of them are still around. Reporting doesn't do a damn thing in this game. No sense in reporting, it goes to the waste basket.
Advertise your stuff here, Post a thread with names of gold spammers, teleport hackers, and all bots and cheaters. Get a massive thread going. Being persistent is the only way to get this problem fixed. -
