[Attention DEVs] Cape Westwind needs Philosophy Reward!

Alright, Square-Enix... I understand that Cape Westwind is needed for the Story, but if you could add like 25-40 Phil as a reward for completion, we would see the queue for it being filled faster because people DO NOT REDO IT.

Either give it 10 Phil + a chest (say one of the items that can be turned in for Phil stones) or 25-40 Phil. Of course, this might make it the 'new' CM depending upon the count you give it.

I'd happily do it again if it gave a tiny reward, not worth doing again.

With a good party, you can finish it in under 10 minutes. If they dropped 25 tomes per run, 75 per half hour, 150 per hour...

I'm happy that I seems to reach 50 just in time, I doubt there are enough ppl doing any of the pre-50 instances, as there are no reason to do any of them more than 1 time.
For now the best you can do is probably join a FC/LS and ask ppl there to help you...

Ya i think this fight is to easy to reward tomes for. Just leave it the way it is

he is not worth it to have that reward....the best bet is as post #4 said or shout for a group

The problem with this: if you make the reward less attractive than the current CM run (in terms of efficiency), you still won't have anybody doing it. But if you make it more efficient, then you just made things even easier for the speed runners.

I guess that's why they had to add tomes for CM and Prae, otherwise nobody would want to do those again and I'd imagine it would be a lot harder to pull a group together for those.

it's an incredibly easy fight, it shouldn't even give as many tomestones as ifrit hard, if it gave any at all.

Ifrit Hard Mode gives 10 Phil, 4 Myth, 1 Loot Chest. I'm asking for something simple, like 10-25 Phil.

I've already done it. I waited in queue for 40 minutes (during peak time) for it. I've also since helped 5 of my FC through it.

The problem is that many of those who are end-game oriented don't see it as worth their effort to help their FC mates through this thing, and it is almost impossible to gather the 'required 8-man team'.

If SE decided to add a Loot chest, yeah, 10 Phil and a loot chance would be great. It's a 5 minute fight if everything goes smoothly.

/agreed they should add but not sure it should be as much as Primal fights otherwise people will abuse it.

Only time I ran through it was when I cleared it - All dungeons of this level give Tomes as Rewards. If they are not added to this then at some point people will not be able to clear it as no-one will want to run it. I feel most sorry for DPS as queue times are already stupid if you are not a tank or healer for some content.

What about a first time bonus of 50 then 10 for every run after? Hardly game breaking considering how many you need to kit yourself out. The point the OP made is that there is no incentive to do it again whatsoever, ANY reward even if it was really low would be better than nothing

Are you kidding? The fight is incredibly simple can be cleared in like five minutes, probably less if you have a bunch of relic+1 geared people doing it. That many tomes and people will just switch from spamming Praetorium/Castrum to spamming Westwind for 160 tomes per half hour. This would be the most boring thing ever and yet everyone would basically force themselves to do it, since it'd be the most efficient method by a huge margin.

I think 5-10 tomes is probably enough. I would rather they buff primals, since those are actually fun and are (well, slightly) challenging. Garuda and Titan at least.

I mean, if it was a chance for 1 person to get say the Inferno Seal (100Ph) and everyone else gets an Inferno Totem (15Ph) it would be great.

Give his gun-shields as reward!

Unintended consequence:
- Some speed runners flaming at players for not skipping cut scene.
- Immediately pulling boss once cut scene is over with no explanation.

Edit: I would think a random item level 55 weapon drop would be better than tome stones.

I think we need to have a Developer comment and confirm that we are indeed being honest about this issue...

I just finished running this with on an alt of mine. After sitting in the queue for a half hour, and not a single slot getting filled, I decided to ask for help from my FC. Each time another member volunteered I re-queued, to see if the instance would spawn. Even at 7/8 and missing a single dps, the DF couldn't fill the party quickly.

When SE reduced the size of the DF clusters, it really hurt single fight story instances such as this. This one suffers the most as the DF has to find 7 of the right role instead of 3. Either they need to change the way the DF servers are split - with large clusters for story instances, and smaller for heavily farmed ones, or some incentive must be added.

To prevent "abuse" of an easy fight, my suggestion is this: a daily limit of 100 tomes from this fight could be applied. Ex: If the fight gives 25, you can only run it 4 times a day. Hopefully that would make people choose it first for a quick 100, and then continue with their normal farming.

While the Devs are actively posting... can we get a response to this one... please?
